I think he's as close as you can get to one without being one. He's also 30, it won't crush them or anything but at some point the contract is going to be an impediment.

2018-2019 is a Transition Year, breaking In Dahlin and Stats while allowing the youngsters to further prove themselves in Rochester and make them very hungry to get those call-ups...I love this strategy...make them absolutely force themselves onto the roster.

For the long-term good of the team, I am fine living with the likes of Pommer, Girgs, Larsson and Blow-U for a good portion of the season unless they suck so bad JBotts is forced to waive 1 or 2

Oh well, hopefully we get to see that this time versus trying to rush it.

I am pretty high on Samuelsson too, and Davidsson seems to just keep getting better and better, so hopefully that keeps the heat on the new guys when they join the team.

Really liking the Swedes we have as well.

I think if GMTM was in charge, we would have seen a push for Karlsson or another big name. Botts didn't even nibble from the sounds of things. The Skinner trade we gave up expendable, less impactful futures. I don't see the Bottering Ram changing his tune, so we'll get what we want this time. Exciting.
