Long term I see Sikura in the top 6 but would be fine with Fortin on line 2 and Sikura on line 3 to start. Personally I'm not high on Fortin (no pun intended in light of the side convo) and don't see him in the long term plans but do see Sikura as part of the new baby core.

You’d have to think so, at least if it’s smoked vs say edibles; but even then does that make one more susceptible to certain types of cancers.

There’s really no exhaustive or conclusive research on any of it but if legalization continues you would think more reputable studies would probably be conducted.

There aren't as many chemicals in weed compared to cigarettes but our lungs weren't designed to inhale smoke so it's still not good.

I expect a lot more studies and public education in the coming months and years. People still believe weed is not addictive, but that's not correct. It's less additive that alcohol or opiates but it is still addicting. Much like any other substance it can be abused and that's part of the public education process that has been missed.

Fortin reminds me a lot of Frolik when we first got him. Really fast and tried really hard. Let's hope he starts to pot a few and gets that confidence rolling. It would be great to see some additional faces start to produce.

I have always wondered if smoking tobacco causes cancer, wouldn't weed do the same?

No one smokes two packs of marijuana a day, I don't think.

Fortin could settle in to a similar role eventually too - 3rd liner with offensive touch and a demon of a penalty killer.

You'd think Saad plus a young prospect and a late round pick would get the Duchene deal done. Hold onto Arty and now you are looking at a team that is very deep down the middle. Toews-Dutch-Arty-Kruger. Some would say, that may be the best down the middle this team has seen in 10 years.

I wouldn't mind that, but Dutchy is going to want to get paid. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it, I just don't want that on the hawks' books. Hawks will probably move past Kruger after his contract.

I like Fortin, but all lights are heavy on him now. He's on Kane's line over Saad, get the puck in the net or hello Rockford.

To say now is not the point to trade saad would be bad asset management, is false premises, if Chicago was to target say Duchene, saad alone won't get that deal done, but Chicago would have to sweeten the deal anisomov may or may not be the final piece but he is expendable. And I don't think hawks fans would be upset . Unless Chicago moved schmaltz and then the numbers don't work .

Love that we're starting to see the Hawks get guys into roles on this team to be successful and not trying to do too much. Instead of having collection of talents on the team. I may be one of the few who has some optimism when it comes to the Hawks outlook for this year and going into next year.

Drink the kool aid much! Saad is a bum! He's a headcase and washed up. I hope the Hawks trade him now just like I wish the Hawks had traded Toews last season when he sucked or when Kane should have been traded in 2013 when he hurt the Hawks brand. I have had it with the blackhawk organ-I-zation coddling players. And while we're at it get rid of the Chelsea dagger goal celebration song, it's irritates me!
