Well, the CBJ/CLB/CNBC team whatever we are hasn't really shown up yet. Maybe some day it will show up before Bob and Breadman are gone and I hope it's tonight. Have fun watching the game.
If any of you want to be the Jacket's blogger for this site, let EK know. |

really though it is just something else to consider. at the very least you at least know that with one person the criteria for each grade is the same - YuenglingJagr

So we're supposed to pretend that there is no bias there? |

They just need to score more goals then the opposition and they’ll win. |

The MacDonald injury situation was handled terribly by the coach and the GM. He should have been given the full six weeks to recover and the Flyers should have begun the season with Friedman or Myers on the roster. There's no harm in giving one of those kids a couple of games to see how they do.
Some players can come back early from injuries and still be effective, and some players are so important to the team that you would want them to do that providing playing wouldn't make the injury worse. Players like Giroux, for example. MacDonald is nowhere near that level of player, and rushing him back into the regular season starting lineup only to shut him down in mid October is farcical. At the very least they should have recognized that his awful preseason performances meant that he was not ready to play when the games mattered. |

Can't put all on the coach and the GM though. If the player says he's fine and the medical personnel are saying the same, than they are even more at fault.
What bothers me more is that everyone from Hak to Stevie Wonder could clearly see that he was struggling to simply keep his feet and keep up with the pace of the game in the opening game in Vegas. For all his faults, AMac is, when healthy, a decent skater. It was obvious that he was not anywhere near 100%. He should have been taken out of the lineup after that game at the latest.

Agreed. Who doesn't love a cupcake?
However, I would submit that:
pie > cake |

Depends on the type of pie: Apple crumb, blueberry and cherry are acceptable answers.

I disagree. Most pies are bleh at best; the exceptions are a good apple pie (fresh apples not that canned crap) and pumpkin pie (canned crap is good here lol) |

Agreed.
I don’t even like when the leaders of this team play through significant injuries, such as what Simmonds and Provorov did last season. It sets a bad example in the locker room. It says that if you sit out with an injury that might not seem “significant” it will be looked down upon by the team and peer pressured into playing.

If you can play with an injury and have it not significantly affect your play, then fine. Timonen was renowned for this, even by "hockey standards." Jason Smith also did this, although his baseline was nothing to write home about.
But in the case of Simmonds/AMac, they weren't doing themselves or the team any favors. |

Imho it's a three-way street: medical staff, player, coach. All share equal responsibility. |

Coconut: the dessert ruiner
Example: German chocolate cake |
