You know for a “fact”? Please. So your argument is this - if there was a problem it would’ve been addressed by now. Now that’s entertainment and pretzel logic. So you are saying all poor relationships get addressed early on in a timely fashion. Not in the real world they don’t. Many posters on here agree Q is especially harsh on players Bowman has obtained. You seem to be unable to accept that Q’s treatment of players like Daley and Murphy points to a disconnect. I suppose when Q angrily stormed out of the hockey meeting when he found out Hammer was traded is somehow evidence for you that Bowman and Q are on the same page. - Z3Hawk
So, you were there and knew why Quenneville left. Oh wait, I was there. My hockey guy said he had somewhere to be that afternoon, and was excused to go - and it was known weeks in advance. And Quenneville was there on Saturday, and there were no issues at all. He was not happy about Hjalmarsson being traded, but understood why it was done. And he has no issues with Murphy - except for some bad habits taught in Arizona - and they are working on correcting it. So keep believing your made up fantasies - they are always good for a laugh or two!!!

And yes, if there were such a disconnect between coach and G.M. - to the point that said coach was trying to show up his G.M. with who he plays, then there would definitely had been a change made. You can say what you will about McDonough, but he is one person that would not let it continue. So please, get over yourself with your little water cooler gossip. It's fantasy - and nothing more.

The DOG penalty for putting the puck directly out of play from the o-zone is frustrating.
The embellishment call - when coupled with a simultaneous penalty on the opponent - is just stupid.
Get rid of it.

agree....if you think he embellished = no call or initial call stands...

Fortin is rotating with Martinsen on the fourth line - Chunk
Not too shocking. Seemed like Schmaltz was destined to play some wing this season, honestly I don't mind it. AA has been playing better this season and Schmaltz can be effective at both positions. They are spreading out the slow guys to lines 2-3-4 rather than have them all on line 3, which should help. Davidson getting a chance, now he just has to run with it. He should be motivated to keep that spot. |

I disagree with this statement. I could see him trying to hide this problem, and still market the team as if it was one big happy family. Rocky is too loyal to McD, and I believe that is the root of the issues now between the front office - he has given McD too much power. |

Legit question, what do you mean by "Some bad habits taught in Arizona?" That team that Arizona had on the ice was not bad defensively. We weren't good offensively, but they weren't bad either. I know some changes/additions happened, and hammer makes everything better, not his first year though. Was there some type of change or different system with Murphy or something different now without him? Arizona might be goal deficient, not against us, but defense isn't bad, especially with a good goaltender behind them. |

I think Highmore can be more effective than Fortin, Kunitz and Hayden. Hope he’s next to get a look |

I wonder if they'll have both AA and Schmaltz take face-offs, depending on whose strong side it's on. It could help. |

I was sitting about 15 feet from the Hawks table. Quenneville was there Saturday. There was no friction to be seen. He is just not that good of an actor.
And I was told he had a family engagement on Friday - and his bosses had no problem with him leaving. Coaches don't do much on draft day - except hob nob with old friends.

When has Fortin ever shown he can "find the net"? - PatShart
He had produced in junior hockey. You are expecting Fortin to debut and be a star immediately, eh? That is too good too soon, unrealistic usually for rookies start off that way. You do know that confidence breeds and accomplishment when given ample opportunity.
So whom else.would you prefer instead of Fortin in that spot? Would your choice have Fortin speed, a good all around game. Fortin is smallish weight wise for a proto typical power forward. Yet is hungry and has good intentions (going to net front presence) correct. So give him another ten gp. Mot of all the team needs to utilize his speed.
You may be right about him but if Q winds up liking this kid.... the kid will have a fair opportunity.

From Murphy's debut in Chicago throughout the season we witnessed some bad habits ostensibly carti d over from Phoenix. This season marks a new edition of the Arizona team. They will not continue to be as good, defensively, as they were last night. Wrmade it far to easy for them. And if you are not physical against them, then their mobile defense crew and forwards just closed off passing lanes. |

Well that might not be good for our new wave of mobile defense crew ...
At least we have some stay at home defenders, and a couple nice checking forwards waiting in the wings/still need to be signed. |

Fortin was NOT a scorer in the Q in Canada. That is why he went undrafted.

Your “hockey guy”? Are you kidding? So ALL the other “hockey guys” report the situation differently but YOUR “hockey guy” knows differently. “No issues with Murphy”? Again are you kidding? Where do you meet your “hockey guy”? I’m guessing at the McDonald’s you work at when you are on your coffee break. Do buy him a Big Mac and he tells you all his hockey insider news? Grow up. |

Coming from the loser that works as a janitor - you really have cut me to the quick!!!
So genius, if the people I know didn't tell me about them moving Panarin, how did I know it was coming days before it did??
And I know quite a few people - both in and out of the organization. But your little fantasy world is more accurate than the things I learn - from people actually around the team and front office.
Whatever helps you sleep better.
And to the other fanboys here - get over your Panarin love. He is not coming back.
If he makes it to free agency - the Hawks will not be calling his agent. All bridges here are burned. And the team that does sign him will be regretting it....... |

John Jaeckel will confirm? Are you for real? John Jaeckel has never had any real information ever. When Panarin got traded true “hockey insiders” like Elloitte Freidman broke the story as it happened. I know I was following. John Jaeckel broke NOTHING! There was NOTHING! John Jaeckel, your “hockey insider” and you did not know 2 days in advance about Panarin. You never knew anything period until true “hockey insiders” like Freidman broke the story. You are hysterical. |
