I was hoping you weren't going to notice or mention that...... - Snots33_77
I don't dislike Hudon, I thought he had a real nice start to the season, he certainly fits the team speed approach more than Deslauriers does |

Yeah i know you don't hate him. I'm just busting your chops. I agree with you obviously, but Deslauriers might be one of CJ's types so you never know what he's thinking?
Not sure if that swap worked out for them?
But one things for sure......putting Alzner back in was a bad idea. They need to bite the bullet on that deal one way or another.....it'll never pay dividends for them. |

My guess is Alzner will be bought after this season or next at the latest |

after one game! wow! - fidopro
Doesn't fit with this team's "new identity" they are trying to create.
Nothing against the guy, but last night what I saw from him (and a few others I might add) was the good ole' dump and fail to retrieve zone entry.
Unless they want to go for another lottery pick, then I'm on board. |

Makes little sense to have him in while Hudon sits - obie

Not only speed...puck control, creativity. Deslauriers and Shaw don't have that.
Talking about Shaw, every time I see highlights of Debrincat I want to throw the remote at the tv. |

agreed, but to me Hudon needs to prove he can play top9.
otherwise on the 4th, he'll have to share his spot with guys like Shaw and Deslauriers who brings a little more sandpaper.
it's not a bad thing to have a 4th line which brings something completely different than the first 3. |

or they could try to trade him while retaining 50%. in any case, he's useless especially with Schlemco and Weber coming back soon |

At least if Alzner didn't have those brain farts, there'd be a bit of interest, but for a veteran D to make such costly mistakes, it's just not looking good |

Without a doubt he’s bad.
But...the Northern Hawaiian needs to get his act together.
When your best player is your goalie, (and getting paid so), 3 goals should be enough to win a hockey game.
And 3 was enough last night.. |

I like Paul Byron, but saying they were tired...come on. Just say that you collectively played like poop and move on. |

Well they played on Wednesday, so they only had Thursday and Friday off, and the bus ride from Montreal to Ottawa is between 2 and 3 hours, so yes they are professional athletes, but they are also human beings. |

Probably only get an equally bad contract back, might be cheaper just to buy him out after this year... Would only cost 1.5 million or so on the cap for the next 6 years |

There might be a "bad" contract out there that could provide some sort of help. |

I could see a western team take a chance on him. |
