You the same guy that said he'd hunt me down if I said RHD one more time? Because that was fun. |

Referees always have been and always will be human. They'll miss poop for both teams and it usually evens out. But the Leafs can't control the referees. The difference wasn't the referees. The difference was that Pittsburgh just played better. - Unholy_Goalie
Right. But.. again. Can the Pens be the better team and the refs also be poop? |

Can't win them all - and we were playing Bettman's golden boy - so the poop refereeing was expected! - Beercules
Makes sense. |

Because the Leafs can't control the referees. They can however control their own effort. The Leafs lost this game because they weren't good enough more than the referees cost them. - Unholy_Goalie

It's possible but again, that's not why they lost. |

Pens outplayed the Leafs in every zone. Skated way better without the puck, maintained sustained pressure, gave the Leafs no time to build speed or make plays. The Leafs got outplayed. Simple. - Unholy_Goalie
Not really. Pretty even game, leafs poor at first and picked it up for the second half. Pens got a softy from Freddy and two ENs. Hardly the blowout you describe. |

Thought Dermott and OZ were pretty good. Matthews was quiet, still a decent game but Pittsburgh was better team tonight. Game like this was to be expected though after the start they’ve had. Marleau has some points this year but hasn’t looked very good to me so far. |

Yes. Pens played playoff style hockey, smart, close checking...they went to work.
Good game though. |

So we agree. The refs were poop. No conspiracy, just poop and terribly inconsistent.
Can't ever put it to "could have" but it's a piss off to see a team clicking at 50% on the PP get Richarded out of call after call. |

Pens were on the right side of the puck most of the night, but even at that, Leafs showed what they can do on a number of shifts. If they catch a break, different game.

Q: Why did they lose? - 21peter
Pittsburgh played the game better especially away from the puck, keeping the Leafs strengths limited and off balance all game long. |

Yup, And it was a reflection of how relentless your posts are and anger people to that level. Now you're bringing up comments about women that you had nothing to do with.

argue with UG all you's want. He just drags you down to his level and beats you with experience.
The MLB playoffs are pretty fun to watch. Maybe more fun than arguing with UG. |
