I'm going as a Flyers season ticket holder who won't have to worry about spending money on playoff tickets.

OMG. Sounds awesome. I love Mass Effect. One year I went as an N7 holographic repairman. I had my repair kit, and some black jeans with an N7 logo tank top, Shepard's black with red stripe leather jacket. No one got it but I was comfortable and man I loved it.

Edit: and my SR2 hat, how could I forget that?

Yeah, I have never done any sort of costume building before, nothing like this at least. Last year I build a Professor Chaos costume from South Park but it was fairly easy to put together. It looks awesome but damn it has been time consuming. Been working on it since July. I should have started this in November of last year...

Mono and I were supposed to go as Danny McBride and Channing Tatum from This is the End, but after his disappearance I need someone to go as Danny McBride with me

So the question is what do we want from this team. Are we willing to go through situations that we have right now because outside of a few vets our team is green and we hope the plan pans out and in a few years we will be very good....

or

Do we say with the way Giroux, Voracek, and Simmonds are playing and we have a decent amount of supporting players we are only a Veteran leaderhips type defenseman, solid goalie, and a bottom 6 defensive forward away from being a contender now... not a favorite, but a contender.

And those are things that we can get without giving up prospects and picks, and hopefully are short term enough that the young guys still shine in a few years.

JVR and NP can'r play goalie and defense so cant help there.Until the defense starts to play even average defense, that is a start, they are playing below average.
- Buzzo

My level of concern is TEAM defense, the goaltending and lastly the actual defense. the team's overall lack of detail is just not ok. it drives me crazy watching stupid mental mistakes or the players having lulls that result in 3 goals in 7 mins. you watch teams like the Devils go out and play intense hockey consistently. just makes me crazy watching them play really good hockey in spurts.

Hagg, Sanheim, Provorov and Ghost are an average age of 22.75. very young defense. I get they are going to have ups and downs.

Yes to firing PK staff. No to fielding calls on everyone but Provorov. We just got a bunch of these guys up. Yes if we can lose Folin, Amac and Gudas that would be positive but Trading away Hagg, Sanheim and Ghost aways is just dumb. Let's not pretend that Provorov isnt a big reason why the D is struggling.
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

I'm not thinking you are getting much for Hagg or Sanheim. The best return is really going to be for G, Jake or Simmer.

When do the injuries to Provorov and Couturier get announced? They both look seriously slowed down.

This season is starting out a lot like 16-17 where poor defending and sub .900 goaltending in the first 20 games meant the Flyers had to fight an uphill battle the rest of the year, and ended up missing the playoffs.

Sigh.

This is not something I thought, coming into the season, we would be discussing.

This team is so hard to watch right now. There is no cohesion, no structure. Goalies can't make a timely saves, defense can't take seal off lanes...

This sucks.

- ggunky

Really? This start to the season is not surprising when you think of the way they imploded against Pittsburgh.

As dominant as Giroux-Couturier-Voracek can be I think they need to split up. Its too many eggs in 1 basket and makes it tough to win unless theyre playing lights out. I also think Couturier is being over worked, hopefully Patrick's return can help with that.

When Healthy:

Giroux Patrick Voracek
Laughton(JVR) Couturier Simmonds
Lindblom Weal Konecny
Lehtera Vorobyev Raffl

- Baxter27

Hak has kept Giroux & Couturier together for over a year now, so I can't see that change happening.

Also, Patrick hasn't done anything since he start of training camp to suggest he's ready to center the top line.

My daughter is going as a Shopkin.

However, my wife, the little boy, and myself are going as characters from Day of the Teantacle. He's going to be a little purple tentacle.
