As much as phil is in over his head, I'd be surprised if he were fired before the off season. - Boss34
Botts cannot let them waste another year of hockey in western NY. There will be 8,000 fans at a game by March. I have to believe that Housely's seat is getting hotter with each loss. By the way, who is in charge of the powerplay and penalty kills? Whoever it is should be replaced immediately. They are both BRUTAL.
If the Sabres were at least playing hard and losing games 6 - 5, people would be more patient. But all of us are sick and tired of having the lowest scoring, lowest shot producing team in the NHL. It puts a ton of pressure on Hutton and Ulmark to not let in more than 2 goals because it feels like the Sabres cannot score 3 in a game.
If the Sabres are free-falling by Thanksgiving, I say fire Housely and hire Vigneault. Get somebody with a resume in here. |

It’s close to coach firing time. - sbroads24
It's too early. 1 win this weekend and things are quickly forgotten.

I think this is the big thing.. regardless of the fact that we are treading water we still don’t look great on the ice.
We can have 10-20 mins of really good execution followed by 4 periods of phoned in play.
That is on the coaching staff. I think there’s a chance housley can be a good head coach but for that to happen he will need some assistants to take care of the power play and get this team in line.
I’ve been saying since last year we need a bad cop to houselys good cop

I’m not sure. Wins are wins and wins are good. However, the Sabres have played only one complete game this year and that was against a terrible coyotes team |

I don't want to overreact to 2 road losses to 2 of the toughest teams in the NHL. If they lay an egg this weekend, then we'll talk. I think we'll see some roster moves before they blame Phil, and we could start seeing those as soon as they get home.

Didn't like phil as a player
Don't like phil as a coach.
He helped us sign eichel by not being a meanie or bylsma
And
Coached us to dahlin
Not bad intangibles.
Respectable tenture, not considering wins and losses |

No excuses for the Sabres.
They were embarassed last game, and are rested given they did nit have to travel far.
LA Kings return from embarassing loss as well at home.
Both teams have played 7 games, Kings scored 1 more goal, but have allowed one more goal
Even steven...who wants it more? |
