What the actual (frank).

STOP

call up good players

i actually don't mind it save for Mittelstadt getting saddled with okposo. But good to see Rodrigues in a position to succeed.

Just put Girgs and Larsson in the yard with a sign that says "free." That line is abysmal

Reinhart can't play with non-good players.

Pominville with Eichel needs no commentary

I'd say the mitts line is the only one I don't have a qualm with.

FFS it's like Housley is trying not to score

I think this set up is the one most likely to not concede 4 goals a night. Like i've been saying, the team doesn't really have the talent to play the high flying hockey people want. Gotta work with what you got.

So yes, he may indirectly not be trying to score, but that's cause he's looking for the lineup least likely to bleed. This happened last year too after their back to back slappings early on.

Is it right? probably not, but it should keep games close.

Im 110% on board breaking up Scandella and Ristolainen. Although these are just practice lineups so who knows.

Can we try to score more than 1 goal a night? Goddamn it, there are two good forwards in Rochester ready to go and I'm supposed to watch that 4th line? The problem is not that we need more "gud defenssive play," we need to stay out of our own (frank)ing zone. These clowns are supposed here for good PK play, which isn't so good.

Goddamn it, there are at least 3 better organizational options. And if you're gonna scratch Thompson, have the balls to send send him down this morning and get Nylander or Olofsson on a 6 am flight for practice. They'd be at the rink in time for a practice on the west coast.

Instead we get the scrub line

Ugh.

That's moot though, Botts isn't going to rush those guys up because Girgensons is damaged goods.

Why does anyone have an issue with Girgs this season?

Friedman (or maybe one of the sportsnet guys cant remember) mentioned that they got to take advantage of a lot of teams not really wanting to make these trades amongst each other and that this second time around with seattle that was very unlikely.
- Sabresfan-365

It seems most teams would rather hurt themselves than improve both themselves and another team in that situation, 30 vs 1 should be no contest, but maybe McPhee knew they'd never band together?

They're having fun and playing well. Why on earth would we want to ruin that by calling them up too early

Would love to see Rodriguez on Eichel’s wing. Cant beleive we havent even gave it a try. Kids got some fire. Creates by himself. Fights hard in the corners. Think he can turn into a 20g 30a guy.

If only Rod played RW........ Skinner/Eichel/ROD 😍

Problem is think there are alot of players in this organization that can be 50-60 point guys. Will they ever be that with this coach and a losing culture.

Its early. Lots of new players. Need to get used to each other. If its the same schnit after 20-30 games then time for The coach to go. Too many decent to good players on this team to be playing uninspired hockey..... Thats on Housley

you make any roster decision based on 6 games, you're probably bad at your job

He's older than Eichel, and he clearly has adapted to the ice size. He's ready

Six games. Is it at all possible that this conclusion is a product of the sabres mediocre play so far?

Like if they were playing to expectations would you still really say that 6 games is clear enough to suggest someone has adapted and is ready? what if he comes up and completely poops the bed? can't handle the puck at NHL speeds or handle the forecheck pressure. Can he still score if the time and space is taken away much quicker, which it would at the NHL level?

We should be swapping him, Thompson and Nylander. Whoever performs, stays

Here's an idea on the PP, instead of the crappy back pass, try shooting the puck softly into the corner and send 2 aggressive skaters to out battle the one defender that will be there , well because you have the MAN ADVANTAGE..

Housley was a pegula hire.

Pegula didnt let either guy "go", those replacements were 25 years ago. Both guys were hired and fired without cups since their tenure in buffalo.

Sometimes you slip and refer to the Sabres as "your team" or "you guys" kinda seams like trolling

- Boss34

You're correct! My example refers to the consistent bad talent evaluations. I don't mind JBotts as g.m. I like what he's done with roc americans, but, as far as the nhl side, I give him a "D".

*seems*
