I would love a Polak highlight reel! They could do all the hits that led to a suspension! Fun

The full video will be a one minute long and will just be a pic of Polak with that scowl look on his face.

Someone please explain to me how the frank all 4 officials missed that high stick that Hyman got last night from Guentzel that almost carved out his eye.

If the officials had any eyes or i should say balls, that could have been a double minor for high sticking as there was obviously blood that was drawn and that could have turned the game around....unfranking believable.....

The refs were pretty $hitty in general last night.

It’s a horrible missed call, which does happen.

But no one can deny it was a bad (frank) up which they should not be proud of.

Babcock was probably erect after that loss. They needed a game like that they for him to start clamping down.

My stupid dog woke me up at 5:30 am this morning - she was puking in my bedroom.

I didn't get back to sleep.

I've officially hit the wall. Just waiting on one little thing, and then I'm going home (and straight to bed).

Anyone want a dog?

- Atomic Wedgie

Do your kids like to feed the dog? Chocolate and dogs don't mix, maybe one of your kids is slipping Woochie some Halloween candy when nobody is looking.

Penalty.

Watch Hyman's stick. He hit Guentzel's stick into his own face while trying to lift it.

Funny I thought that only follow throughs on shots were not penalties.

If it was a penalty, how many guys would hit themselves with an opponents stick when they needed a powerplay? Hyman was trying to lift a stick that was already at waist height and hit himself in the head with it. It was an accident. And while a lot of people thought the referees were idiots for "missing" a call, they actually were very astute to see what really happened. It was an excellent non-call.

From the blog, and note what Hyman says: "Zach Hyman was clipped by a Jake Guentzel high stick late in the first period and received an eight-stitch gash just under his right eyebrow, but the Pens forward did not get penalized. Hyman returned early in the second period sporting a new visor and after the game reflected on how fortunate he was that the injury was not worse.

Yeah, it was close (to my eye). I got lucky, I was really lucky.” Hyman said after the game.
If (the officials) saw it, they would have called it, but they didn’t see it. They apologized to me but it’s fine, it was away from where the puck was.”"

So according to Hyman, the officials actually apologized for missing the call. They would've called a penalty if they saw it. So apparently, it was a penalty, but one that was missed. You know, according to an NHL player actually involved, and the refs...

Maybe I had a few to many drinks during that game, I'm not sure. But didn't he stick lift Guentzel's stick into his own face? I'd have to look at the play again, sober this time lol
