I am seeing lots of effort from the Flyers battling for pucks and backchecking...that is all I ask for. - Glak18
So the Flyers are capable of playing the right way. Who would of thunk it! Maybe now we don't have to fire the coach or make a trade.

That's the whole point...the players know they can play this way, so why do the players keep falling into the same cycle. The fans know they can play this way.
Like Bundy said last game, these are grown adults they don't need a coach to motivate them, but if the team in general lacks motivation and can't turn it around on their own...what do you do?
People don't complain just because they lose, they complain when they give lackluster effort while losing. |

Yes not sure what the hate is for Hagg on here being too slow and such. He leads the league in hits for defenseman is always physical never backs down and has some offense in his game, what is not to love! |

It's completely aggravating. With the skill players the Flyers have, if they play this way game in and game out, they'll win a lot of hockey games. There is just no excuse for it.
It's not the system, it's not the coach, it's on the players. 100%. Show up and play the right way.

Offensive production is just a bonus for me. If he can be half of a Hjalmarsson he is a solid top 6 guy. |

The coach should be blamed for lineup mistakes, bad timeouts/challenges and who gets put on the ice in what situation.
Hak has not been good in those categories, but what we have seen recently is not Haks fault.
The fact I have seen Giroux AT LEAST 3 times on hard back checks this game and the team is fighting for each other NOW tells me leadership is inconsistent just like their play. |

We have a difference of opinion with that but that's okay. I haven't agreed with everything he has done but overall Hakstol is a solid coach.
Agree totally on the leadership. |

Giroux's shot was attacked, contested, and blocked. It was a rushed shot. If that was the flyers, they would have let that player walk, shoot when he pleased while trying to block it, missing, and Elliot would have let it go in.

I could of scored that goal with someone's butt pressed against Parent's face. Elliot's fault for not being aggressive and pushing Palmeri out of the way, the puck still would of gone in though. |
