Rutta has been steadily improving, but they'll want more from him yet I think. - breadbag
Yeah. I picture Rutta/Forsling being the shutdown pair eventually. Both have the ability and smarts, but the inconsistencies need to be sorted out |

Gustafson has position between the eventual goal scorer and the net, but for some inexplicable reason he drifted up and positioned himself between the goal scorer and the Tampa bay net? Completely fail to understand that move!!! - Spec41971
Yeah, I don't know where he was going, unless he somehow thought the pass was going to go across and he hoped to steal it. He needed to hang back on that play and just cover his side of the ice. |

The one strength I think he has is good reach with his stick to disrupt a lot of plays. Hawks definitely need some guys like him to take those PK minutes given how many offensive minded guys we have. |

That's a learning thing, he needs to calm the offensive side of his game. Chasing the shooter, not good |

Kunitz fails to get it deep and the lightning turn around and score. Think Q gives Kunitz 15 more minutes of ice time? - Dieselhead
That was Kruger with the soft panzy attempt to backhand the puck in the zone.

One more thought that entered my brain earlier. While he is making some mistakes, Jokiharju isn't getting rattled out there. Man, I think he has exceed all expectations so far at age 19. |

I think the question is...is this just who he is at this point. I'm not saying he can't improve, but he will be 27 in March. Love his instincts to go up the ice, but just those few things defensively he lapses on. |

Yeah and his hand-eye coordination, too. I've seen him break up half a dozen plays at the blue line by batting the puck out of the air. Hopefully he keeps improving. |

Just a matter of time if he keeps taking it to the net and playing like the man child we know |

He's setting a high bar for Boqvist and Beaudin, which isn't a bad thing. |

Just about to say, I'm liking the 4th line. Krugs in the box, interference. |

Yeah. I (frank)in love Martinsen. I think I've said that before, but I love how he always plays simple. Other guys could be better by doing that every now and then |
