In the grand scheme of things, points are points. It's a rocky start, yes, but there are way to many positives to say a .500 team, and Crow just came back, and Fors and Murph aren't back. We will see ebbs and we will see flows. When it's later in the season I will judge, but for now, keeping the optimism. There's compete in this team.

To your ill-properly slotted point, I know it's coming but as to how well this team has played so far, I'm happy. I know Fors and Murph coming back will help the d, which will help Crow, which will help the forwards. I'm too optimistic, and too much weight and change on them, but they will help tremendously.

Yeah, not really complaining or panicking. Still too early and I'm relatively happy so far compared to last season. The team still has a way to go to be a true contender yet they are showing more compete. A lot more fun to watch than last year. Shoring up the defense and special teams plus getting Crawford back would help the team immensely.

I remember when Tallon was GM, he liked evaluating the team in 10-game segments. If framing perspective his way, so far the season is 6 games in so let's see how the next 4 play out and see where the Hawks are at.

Same goes for the other 30 teams and players. Some are playing lights out right out of the opening gate but will eventually simmer down to their water level while those who are slumping should progress back to their career averages. Hope Saad is in the latter category.

Not that I see him as a savior or the next big thing but hope that Davidson can take the bull by the horns and provide some steady defense and physicality for the bottom 3 on D rather than be part of musical chairs with a group of mediocre to bad blueliners. Someone needs to step up. Maybe that someone is Murphy and/or Forsling upon their return but why not Davidson.

Saw your predictions Justin, I’ll go out on the limb and say Brandon Davidson place better than most people give him credit for if he gets a chance and winds up sticking. Don’t know how you feel but I feel that Bowman miss judged and overpaid for guys like Gustavsson and Ruutta, I base my thought and premise and that when I always ask the question, with guys like that how many other NHL teams could these guys make? And I think the answer is not a one. Both of them are probably very good AHL defensemen and that is it. I think they are being force fed to the coach.Otherwise they would’ve been playing a while ago. I am pulling for Davidson because people are writing him off, I’d like to see Brandon Manning get it together, And going to be interesting to see when Forsling and Connor Murphy come back,

I’ve had NHL.tv the last 3 years and decided it wasn’t worth the money this year given the constant freezing and non-HD quality. Reddit has all the games and it’s always HD. FYI

When does this management wake up?
This team is a .500 team plain and simple.
They needed overtime to beat Ottawa and laid a stinker against the Yotes.
One of the worst PKs, PPs and goals against in the league. (When does the coaching staff be held accountable).
Almost no scoring from the bottom 6,
The 3 off season signings have produce nothing but a roster spot better served by the youth we have.
Mixed messages and the dealings with Saad by the coaching staff.
Kane wasting away on a line that hasn’t helped him.
How does the rest of the hockey world see this and management closes a blind eye?

Thought the freezing issue was just me. Can never watch games on a laptop or tablet for this reason. Works fine when I'm using Roku on the home TV.

It has its faults but get watch pretty much any hockey game on every day of the week. Needs a lot of upgrades but i enjoy even with its faults.
