2018-2019 The Year of Transition..
rollercoaster ride that eventually smooths out as the team defines its game, coaches find proper line combinations and players develop chemistry with each other.
Then TDL comes and we hopefully shed a couple players and bring up younger yalent.

Botterill seems to be well aware of the way that the league is trending, even an average team this year is big jump, couldn't feel more opposite about the Bills. Beane and McDermott might as well be GM Marv and Richard Jauron
- mattmoulson

meh, saw it coming with the Bills.
they did F-up the QB situation beyond belief, no doub.
that said, the fans should have seen this coming in Training Camp...if not, then they were wearing several pairs of rose colored glasses or are slimply blind.
the O this year was totally going to suck...I think that is the so called Proces for this season anywy.

I think JB just having a plan in general is why this team looks semi-competent.

Lucking into Dahlin helps but Tim Murray wouldn’t have touched Skinner or Sheary because

A. They didn’t come from Ottawa
B. They probably were too small for him

Botterill just saw value for what he had to give up

If I had to nit-pick, I would say the decision to play Pominville on the first line was a welcome shakeup, but he played over 20 mins last night which is not ideal. I think Reinhart needs to go back into that spot. A 35 year old forward playing 20 mins is not good. That said, he's a smart player who can clearly still play, but that's a big ask

I don't think so. They got clobbered by Boston, Colorado, Vegas and San Jose.

My god, looking at all your posts on this thread!! Why cant you just stop with the negative posts, be happy the team is starting to turn the corner! Your act gets old bro...

At this point reinhart hasn’t done anything to deserve that spot. A 35 year old is outpacing reinhart on the first line, that’s telling enough

The question was whether or not they could have got to overtime in any of their losses.

I have also repeatedly said that as long as they tread water in October, they are fine. And they are doing that.

I just think they need to swap that out. Maybe Okposo instead of Reinhart. We saw last year that Pominville had a great start, and then got gassed and didn't score for 30 games. It's a major credit to Pominville that he still looks good on a top line, but I don't think it's sustainable

29 on the 1st line, what a joke. This team needs an enema.

He hasn't been great, but "hasn't done anything" might be a stretch. He has made some pretty plays for goals, including Okposos and getting in front of the net on Ristos. 5 points in 9 games isn't great, but its not horrible either

I think they were playing like 13 minutes. Anyway, I'm not gonna belabor the point, I just don't think counting on him for 20 mins is a good idea

Watch Skinners interview from postgame last night and watch the
Smile that comes over his face as he talks about Eichels pass that sprung him on his goal. Skinner is 27 in May, and his style of play can have at least another 5 years of success.

This is the right thing to do.

I'll feel better when ink is dry. He's very good, better than I thought, and there will be suitors for him if he wants to test the waters of free agency.

Bring in the Bottering Ram.

So, let him play until he is infact gassed.
Pommer has produced more in 2 games than Sam in 7.

Make Sam earn it, stop with just plain giving it to him like it is owed, F that.
Clearly, he is a guy who requires adversity to strike before he gets on his horse and plays up to his capabilities.

His next contract should be highly incentive based... like monthly targets to hit.
Pay for Play there Sammy.

Appreciate the effort Bogo, but you're gonna break something
