Not true....watch it again...yes Toews was right there but got taken down as you said by Ritchie almost immediately. My problem is with nobody coming to take Getzlaff as he got involved.

As soon as AdB went afte4 Manson, the refs stepped in to end it - no chance for any red sweater help to come in.

I understand you want more red ass but don’t look for it if the opportunity isn’t there.

For everyone moaning about Schmaltz being contact averse, Kane does the exact same thing. He doesn’t dig his nose into the corners or fight the board battles. He simply uses his speed and skill to win pucks.

Winter classic commercials coming regularly now. I'm guessing ticket sales aren't going well. I'm wondering if this one will be the lowest attended Winter Classic to date ?? It might have made more sense if the game were against the Wings at Notre Dame.

Two months until the game - I wouldn’t expect it to be sold out at this point.

But the game should have been against Detroit - draw from Michigan Indiana AND Illinois.

If you've never seen Kane do that you have blinders on. There's no other way to say it. Kane was especially bad with that the first three or four years of his career, and fans hated him for it. Same way they hate Schmaltz for it

Not the argument I’m making. The point is that they play the same type of game. We give Kane a pass because he puts up points? Schmaltz also puts up points, just not as many, but he plays the same type of game.

Disagree sorry. Getzlaff was allowed to get his hands all over Debrincat as the 3rd man in.....while Duncan Keith came strolling in late to help Toews get off the ice when he should have been all over Getzlaff. That would have taken some serious "redass" as you say, but NO.
Toews can take care of himself on the ice, DeBrincat needed help from a TEAMMATE.

That team was awesome, Kane was great, but talent galore.

So much for the Fortin-Johnson-Schmaltz line - Fortin has 7 shifts and barely over 5 mins TOI - same as Hayden and Kunitz. Oh well - so much for giving the kid a legit shot.

BTW - bad play by Toews that led to the Ducks goal. Doesn't matter that Gustafsson was diving down - Toews can't try to pass it through a stick of an opposing player closer to your goal than any Hawks players. Too bad CC couldn't bail him out on that one.

Yes, he did that in the neutral zone, and another where he took two strides and retreated. I’m not even saying it is a bad thing. I want Kane health and playing his game, same with Schmaltz.

Definitely a strange decision based on what he showed before and what he's shown tonight. He's nothing more than a good AHL player right now
