He threw as hard of a hit as he could at him behind the net if that's the one you're thinking of. - Hawks_49
Kunitz is the master of the flyby. I've seen 3 occasions now where he could have taken the body but instead chose to skate slowly by and do nothing. I'd much rather have Martinsen in tonight. At least he hits and creates space out there. Oh wait......he must have had too much body contact in his TOI for Quenneville's liking. ....take a seat kid !!!

Ha. Yeah I love what Martinsen brings. He has endeared himself to me the same way John Scott did, only Martinsen is slightly more skilled |

I swear he’s trying to get his shot blocked. Hall of Fame NHL defenseman, peewee house league shooting accuracy....Mind boggling how he finds shin guards |

Awesome, great game by him and all around. Love the shots taken jumped up and shots against went way down. 38-25. |

indeed it was...best complete game of the year..only took to game 9.
defensive play and structure was there...great puck support all over the ice...good forecheck...craw = very good as usual
groaned on that krug pen...looming 6 on 4; thinking what a great game to psss away in the last 2 minutes

Big difference defensively as a group tonight. - Hawks_49
What was a big difference tonight is the team speed difference between the Ducks and Tampa - night and day. The Bolts hemmed us in and kept us hemmed in because they were quick to the puck. I give the Hawks credit for playing better but their opponent tonight wasn't out-quicking the Hawks to the puck. So it's nice to win but the Hawks d-men had more time and space to make plays tonight. |

Def a great effort/compete level tonight, but key to note that the Ducks don’t look like a playoff team.

I really liked that Manning Rutta, Gusto did not keep the puck on their stick in the dzone for more than 3 seconds, before getting to puck look around and make quick decisions which reduced the Ducks ability to forecheck. Turnovers been killing us |

The assist was great, but Gus had a much better defensive game tonight. Taking away space on a lot of guys coming in the zone. |
