I used to train at the same place as a guy who could never be more than a yo-yo/AAAA player as he bounced around, but when he was on the ice with a bunch of junior and college guys he was MILES AND MILES ahead of anyone. No one could check him, you'd blink and the puck was off his stick, two of his strides were like 4 for anyone else. And he wasn't good enough.

Then there are dudes who play in the league forever, but then one or two years removed from the NHL and can barely hold their own in AAA Mens or like the German or British league.

MDZ finally back in for Edler, pretty bizarre how he went from playing 21 mins per for the first 2 games and then a healthy scratch for 3 weeks after


if it's Edler's back issues again then he could be out for a few games at least.

I chuckle a bit at how MDZ played like 21 a night last year and all it took for him to go from 82 games in the top 4 to press box was Hutton laying off the cheese burgers and Pouliot sorta trying consistently.

Or there is only enough ice and goals for one center and EP was selfish and hogging it all. Going to create a rift in the room and eventually lead to someone being traded for Sam Morin or Jonas Brodin.
