Dano shouldn't let things slip like that. - bennythehat
Don't even bother Benny. Who is the bigger fool...the village idiot or the person that engages with the village idiot....and yes that was me engaging for a while.
Stats nerds just don't understand all the many intangibles and their value to the game. |

I like this.
I don’t agree with it, I don’t accept it, but it made me chuckle at my own expense.
That said, Matt Hendricks has been a positive impact player in exactly one of his NHL seasons, and only the latter half of said season was even in this decade - Rexypoo
LOL, Good to see you too Rexy.
I will give you credit for your take to open the season about PeeMo's player selection on defence. Train wreck from what I've seen. Is the guy coaching? Is he even watching?

Just a note for tonight's game. Its the first game this season where we are seeing what I see as the ideal combination of lines based on what we have on the roster.
Ehlers - Scheif - Wheeler
Connor - Little - Laine
TLC
Lemieux-Roslovic-Perreault
Morrissey-Trouba
Chiarot-Byfuglien
Kulikov-Myers
In time Petan might shuffle into that fourth line. In a longer period of time Roslovic might find himself on that second line with Connor and Laine. Injuries could also obviously change things. |

If I remember correctly Chairot/Byfuglien worked well a couple seasons ago. Buff is taking some time to get going, but just like my 79 Lincoln, wait till it's on a roll and up to speed- try stopping it. Buff will be fine.
Myers slotted right where he should be. Myers/Kulikov- two veteran guys who know how to play but can't always translate that on the ice anymore.
I don't think it's fair to Burden Morrisey with Trouba. Kid is/will be a star. Why give him a Pouty Plug to play with?
I get frustrated with Babcock playing Ron Hainsey with Captain Morgan too in Toronto. Similar situations but at least Rielly can learn good habits from the boat anchor that he has to lug around. |

Petan is more ideal than Lemieux. I’m impressed at how tame he’s been with not taking terrible penalties, but I’m also completely unimpressed at how damn lazy he is. The guy doesn’t skate or engage at all unless the puck is on his stick |

The devil you know...
That’s about the only answer I can give. Niku can come up and be an absolute train wreck in our end, but 7/70/57 already are, and Niku has more talent than all of them combined |

You can see Niku is a player. There's no debate there. If he's got the potential to be a cornerstone, get him playing.
Niku would be in the lineup if he was a Leaf, no question. |

I love JoMo to death. He’s an absolute unit, and I want an 8 year extension as soon as possible.
He’s not as good as Trouba yet. |

I rail on Trouba because of effort and attitude, his talent and skill is apparent- just for the record.
Edit: take the Kadri goal for example |

He still gets results. That’s all I care about. He can have resting female dog face all he wants if he’s stopping the best the opposition has to offer.
That said, I think Josh Morrissey is making a solid case for himself as my favourite Jet in this post-Toby era |

Will the real Jacob Trouba please stand up?
He did tonight in the Shady City.
Credit where it’s due. |

Love the development Roslovic and Lemieux are getting with their 6 minutes a game. How about that Petan in the press Box? I thought we were a draft and develop team! |

Trouba keeps getting burned when players go on the outside, first it was McDavid, then Horvat and tonight it was Anathansiou. Tomorrow, it may be Kadri, Mathews, or Marner. |

Hey UJ. I agree. He did play decent last night so I thought I'd point that out. Chevy needs to call Chia and see if Trouba and a forward prospect gets Perimeterarvi out of the Oil. |

Superstar Dano is currently on a torrid pace for 0 points this season. At some point though I expect he might luck in on a secondary assist or something when a puck hits him in the ass before deflecting over to another Avalanche player. |

Jets have been playing a lot of hockey in a short period of time. Not feeling warm and fuzzy going into tonight's game.
Leafs by two and off we go to Finland for a team building trip. Vesalainen, Petan, and Comrie are all going as well. Does anyone know if the games are played on the larger ice surface or do the Finns have to make sure its NHL size ? |
