I know it wont be well received but.... Why is Ullmark in Buffalo?
If hes going to be getting Enroth starts send him down and get games in. I thought it would be more even in starts especially with 1 GA in 2 games.
I'll hit spell check then hang up and listen. - hubie
They can't just send him down. Which is why he's in Buffalo. He'd have to clear waivers and I'm pretty certain that won't happen (McEhlinney and Pickard being claimed from Toronto are proof of that, IMO). They gave up a pick to Vegas in the expansion draft just to keep Vegas from taking him.
They even said last year at the end of season press conference that he'd be here this year. I'd like to see him get more starts than he has though. 10 games in I think he should have gotten at least 1 more. Not 1 start every 5 games. I'd prefer to see one every 3 or 4 games. |

and how many of those games were vs backups? 8/10 would be my bet - hubie
Just have to win the games. Different sport, but if the Bills go 12-4 cause they face the easiest strength of competition does it take away from the fact they went 12-4 ? Law of averages says the Sabres need 94-97 points to clinch a playoff spot. Just get the points. Whether it’s beating Toronto or Detroit just win the games. |

We've won 3 games in a row and we're complaining about Goaltending starts? - mattsox
Yes, some of us remember what it was like having a good team and being able to complain about something.
I guess the big question is ..... were you happy with the game last night from Hutton? |

I'm not complaining. Just saying that his play has implied that he deserves to get more.
Hutton was very good for the first few games of the year. Has been just meh IMO since then. Which is why I feel giving Ullmark a few more makes sense.
Not a complaint, just an observation. |

We were 7-3 against the likes of Tampa, Toronto, and Boston combined in the last 10 games we played those respective teams and finished 31st place. Any team can win on any given night and they all look the same on the scoresheet. Just gotta win the games. - Pegullaville

10 game segments averaging
6-4-0
Or
5-3-2
Gets them there. There's no reason to think they can't win at that pace |

But are we good yet?

Given Reinhart's slow start, he is on pace for wait for it.....
50 points...
Remember he starts slow every year and this year he has the most points he has ever had through 10 games.
Is a 60 point year in the works for him?

Anyone ready to bring up Victor Olofsson? maybe put him up on that top line?
I wouldn't put him there but it could spark something. - hubie
with skinner being hot, doubt he gets the top line
I can see sheary going down though and olofsson getting a look on the second line, esp if we have a 2 game losing streak
I can also see pilut coming up for a few games |

In all seriousness, I don't think he is anywhere near the reason the Blues are in trouble. However, I do think it's a pretty clear by his stints in Colorado, Buffalo, and now St. Louis that what O'Reilly brings to the table is simply immensely overvalued.
He reminds me of Shane Doan, a guy who received a ton of accolades for doing "everything right" everywhere...except the win column. - buffalofan19
The GAR metric some advanced stats folks love to mention only shows him well because the guy who came up with it weighted ice time and faceoffs just as heavily as things like primary points. If you scale his ice time/FO to what a normal 2C gets he winds up looking like....a normal 2C. |

even if you adjusted i think only a few teams end up with as many or more regulation wins.
Pretty impressive considering where things were at...a week ago |
