He's Greg Fox bad. Fox may not be the worst D-man to ever play for the Hawks but he is in the team photo.

Manning can't skate. Can't handle a pass. Can't fight. Has a low hockey IQ. Can barely make a pass. Is too slow to even get in the way of a shot. His positioning is horrid. He hangs his partner out to dry all the time.

Other than that, he is fine.

Rewatching the game, not only did he have several bad turnovers, there were numerous opportunities (especially on the pk) when he could and should have cleared the puck, and he stood stationary by it. In front of Crow!

If we could get Nylander w/out giving up the farm but giving up
Murphy/Mitchell and a 2nd or some such package only on a
guarantee that we can sign Nylander for something reasonable
say 6x4 bridge or 7x7 it makes the top 9 look rather good.

LOL! One of the first Blackhawk games I ever went to was a game against the NYI in 1980 or 81. I only remember 2 things from that night: An Islander shooting the puck from center ice through a little hole in a piece of plywood in front of the net at intermission and Greg Fox looking like he had no business being out on the ice.
