How many guys hold out though? And they're usually skill guys who are more prone to injury too. I don't know if it's anything more than simple correlation.
- Wetbandit1

It is rare. And yes, WRs and RBs mostly, which are the ones going down to injury most frequently. Still, it's only the skill guys that count in fantasy. The correlation cannot be proven really either way, just interesting the stats leaned one way in terms of injury and slow starts.

I believe this was brought up during Dez Bryant's holdout because I thought he would have a big year (was way wrong). My buddy, the league guru and winner of 3/5 years so far, sent me it. I'll post it when I find it or have him email me again. Really changed my perspective on holdouts. It seemed logical at the time anyways.

When was the last time we made a trade, gave up very little, and had it pay off in dividends like it is (so far) with Skinner and Sheary?

Breire?

Mike wilson for Rhett Warner
Rhett Warner for chris Drury
Satin for Joseph Chierny?

Statistically speaking

With points.

Not goals

And sam starts slow always. He is getting outplayed by:

Eichel
Pommer
Skinner
Sheary
Sobotka
Mitts
Erod
Girgs
Larsson
Berglund
Ellie

He has tage beat in my opinion

When Sam's playing well, he goes to the net. He never wins a board battle, is slower, and has a weaker shot than Pomminville. They play a slightly different game, and it feels like Pommer meshes better with Jack + Skinner. I've never felt like Sam fit well with Jack. After seeing 3 games with Skinner, I'm more convinced of that than ever.
- Lunaion

Agreed.
RW for Jack shohld be a sniping burner.

??

Miro was only traded once. And it was for Craig Miller and Barrie Moore.

Edit: Do you mean Simpson? He was acquired for Cierny.

I'd throw Mittelstadt in there as well. When 22, 28 whatever Elie is and 37 score a goal, they're out playing him.

Watch the PK with Larsson and Girgs in the first. It was a comedy of errors. Botched clears, over pursuit. McCabe saved their skin, and a 2-0 hole.

Until they score, they're just thrashing around, accomplishing nothing

In hindsight, knowing we'd trade for Skinner, pick up Elie, Girgs would play well, Olofsson and Nylander would look good, I wouldn't have made the Sheary deal. Never expected all 5 of those things to happen.

I know your being hopeful, but pommer has outplayed sam all year. Sam was invisible until he scored last night. Someone even referred to him as "kasper" last night.

Just a few seconds before sam scored, I told my wife he was due.
Liked his effort in front on the goal, I think he just took a puck to the Chest in front of the net. Gritty effort.

Hopefully this ignites him, but maybe try him with Mitts?

Sam sets up nice on the pp, to the left of the goalie (kinda behind the net) another good spot for his quick passes.

the goalie got him in the giblets with his stick... exactly why I could never be an NHL player, I would have turned around and murdered the (frank)er...

All P/60 does is tell you how well someone scores relative to the role they play.
It’s really easy to see how useful it is

- sbroads24

That would be fine if u compared Armia to Girgensons & not O’Reilly

And not just you
Others do crap like that too

Off topic but just saw this tweet

Blues are allowing the 2nd most high danger chances against to Calgary.

Maybe it isn’t just goaltending

I knew the Satan one, but I had to look up the Simpson one. It looked like an auto-correct error, so I didn't know who you meant.

And he coincidentally has 11pts in 9games
Look what happens when he’s used more reasonably

Yes, i know he’s not Bergeron
But even if we had Bergeron instead of ROR,
the mess of a TEAM the last few years wasn’t going anywhere

Blaming O’Reilly like some do is just crazy talk

He was very good at trades.

I'm not sure I'd hang Leino totally on him, new owner wanted to make a splash. But in general signing guys was not his strong suit. The Briere Drury fiasco being top of the list.

Hopefully we can sign Skinner

We kinda got lucky with Sheary
That trade probably only happened bc of Botts’ ties to Pitt and then needing Cap Room

Great moves though
I think both trades were the only things we ALL agreed on in years
Other than
F the Leafs
F the Sens
Etc
