1. The Maple Leafs everything about them is annoying to me. (especially the media)
2. Vancouver Canucks, my top three most hated players of all time are Bieksa, Kesler and Bertuzzi haha
3. Calgary Flames and I don't really need to explain this one haha

Players I hate most today:
1. Jacob Trouba hugely overrated & reminds me of a softer Bieksa
2. Matthew Tkachuk he's Sean Avery with skill
3. Nazem Kadri, I have hated him ever since he dove in that WJC game against Norway to draw a penalty when they were up like 10-0

Brad Marchand and Tom Wilson are about the only guys close to infamy level in the NHL at this time. Growing up, Dale Hunter was probably the cheapest SOB I ever saw play. Claude Lemieux at #2. Billy Smith and his slashes across the calves of opposing forwards in his crease always made me wince. Rob Ray gets an honorable mention, only because he would fight anybody. Lemieux was the worst because he would just turtle. Oh, forgot about McCarty, and Tucker, they were a douchecanoes.

Funny this coming from Torts as he helped in running that kind of colorful character out of the league with Avery. Guys like that you love and you hate and they add the kind of stuff you're talking about. But Torts and the the NHL ran guys like Avery out because of their antics . I thought it was a mistake then and still do, and now we are seeing the results. Avery is just the first example that came to mind. Just my two cents but I would like to see some more personality come back , just seems like everyone is trying to hard to be "professional" and leaving out a lot of fun.

As a Devils fan, you have to hate the Rangers. Their arenas are only miles apart the fans live amongst each other in NJ and NY. The level of hate isn’t as fierce as it once was. Its also not too far removed. I remember back in 2012 when the Devils and Rangers got into a 6 player fight as the puck was dropped to start the game. I also remember coach Deboer and Torts screaming at each other after a game during their playoff series if they could have I think they would have fought lol. That was only a few years ago. Most hated players of all time has to be Sean Avery, and will never forgive Tie Domi for his cheap shot elbow to the head on Scotty Niedermayer. Although as for current players theres not much hate anymore Marchand does not belong in our game other than that though I agree the league is starting to get a little soft and players are maybe just becoming more professional in how they act, along with the departure of enforcers. Teams are going all in on speed and finesses over physcially dismantling a team.

What about the Flyers-Penguins rivalry? At least of the Crosby era mostly. The rigalry's been there for yeats, but's gotten uglier of late. There's almost never a game that goes unchecked without some nasty animosity nowadays. Now, admittedly, I'm partial as a Flyer diehard, and a true Penguin hater... by default... as I said I'm a Flyer diehard, what can i say, lol. No excuses tho, I do truly despise that talented bunch in Spittsburgh. It's just my opinion, albeit tilted, that that's about as nasty a rivalry as one can see in the NHL in this era. (Truth be told, the Flyers have always seemingly drawn the ire of the entire league, but definitely what is basically now the Metro Division.) Just one armchair fan's opine. -Matt
