I’m also fine getting them up here, but not at the expense of a line posting 60% possession on a nightly basis.
Thompson and Rodrigues would be first to get the boot as of today - sbroads24
We'll see where we are in 10 games, if tonight was an aberration from Thompson's play so far, then maybe he needs to go down and play 20 minutes a night.
Rodrigues has 4 points even despite his ridiculous 75% D-Zone start rate. And he's only -1.1Rel. And he only gets 13:52 of ice time. |

He hasn’t been good this year outside of one game. He was awful a few games ago and doesn’t have a goal yet.
I like him but if we’re gonna hold players to the standards of having to “produce”, he should be in that conversation - sbroads24
You're moving the goal posts and reverting to "what aboutisms"
22 and 28 are bums
71's PPG stats show the difference |

He’s basically doing the exact same thing as 28 and 22 but with not as good posesssion Numbers. |

Thompson. 4 I guess. - sbroads24
IDK, he played 41 games last year. He's still raw though, for sure. |

Not this year. When/if they revert to being bums. Then your point hold water. |

If you're good with 4 goals per year from 22, and 7 per year from 28, then they're great. I'd like at least chance that we get 10+ from a 4th liner. Derek Grant had almost 15 last year. |
|
|
|
He had 3 less 5v5 points than ROR last year in 650 less minutes. And he was actually even in Corsi and a +3.7Rel. Had 25 points in 48 games(43 point pace) while only playing 13:56 a night. And he's better than average defensively. - Wetbandit1
I think you just illustrated my point.
He can handle defensive minutes and kill penalties. A lot of the other guys being talked about can't (Thompson, Olofsson, Nylander, etc.)

Yeah, because he rarely plays in the O-Zone.
Larsson is 47.8CF% -10Rel%, Girgensons 47.3 -2, Rodrigues 48.0 -1.1. So Rodrigues has better numbers actually, maybe it's because he gets another 2-3% more O-Zone stats than those other 2.

Derek Grant had an 18.5% shooting percentage after going 0% for his whole career before that.
He literally had 0 goals in 90 something games before last year. That’s really the example you want to use ? |

Wouldn't you rather the sabres cycle through 4th liners and potentially hit someone while he's hot than settle on scrubs who score around 5 goals? |

You quite possibly could be the only person on the planet unhappy with that line right now.

Hockey Reference. I have a feeling the -10 for Larsson is just a typo though. But maybe not, he's only played 4 games(before tonight). |

7/8 points in the last for games. I'm probably too critical |
