We had a lot of puck luck that period and Ullmark was very good. They could easily be leading this game. Hope we clamp down on the mistakes the next few periods
- Pegullaville

How long has it been since we’ve said that the Sabres had puck luck? How many time was it a CRAZY angle shot from an opponent went in on a weird bounce?

Starting to think “luck” results from consistent pressure and effort.

Larsson had more ice time than eichel in the first.

Damnit . Transformer blew up down the street. Took out the sound on my back room TV. Had a spare in the basement . got it hooked up by 6:50 for the game.

It is not often that we agree, but we do whole heartedly on this.

I’m to the point ALL failed challenges lead to a power play.

- gcomella34

A powerplay seems extreme to me.

Loss of time out feels more fair

I'd also like to see delay of game penalties called on guys changing after the icing whistle to buy time, and then the linesmen have to track down the correct players. That's straight up delay of game

I’m open on that. I was just really sick of all the challenges we’ve seen over the past few years as coach’s were just taking a shot. A timeout in hockey isn’t quite as important as it is in football.

Perhaps it’s a bit of an over reaction but I’d like to see scoring stay up, keeping the game fast, and stop draining the energy of games with unceccessary challenges.

Granted, that’s more from years past and I’ll admit that.

Never thought of that. That’s actually even better IMO.

Good to see . Been a long time we had a backup goalie that actually worked .

It’s not just the goals with Skinner. He just gets take away ALL the time, I don’t know how, I just see it every game.

Ullmark could learn a lot from Hutton on puck handling... could really help the defensemen a lot more.

That slow motion replay was just a comedy of errors.

Eventually the sabres have to admit Larsson isn't good defensively just because he spends all of his time in the defensive zone

(frank)ing Keystone Cops on that goal, wow, giveaway by McCabe, Larsson got smoked, and Risto got caught between the shot and pass and fell.

Buffalo is allowing CB to play their game. They’ve got to assert themselves here.

They seem to be having A LOT of trouble with the forecheck they’re facing.

sloppy passing too. No targeting , just shooting it away.

Like it or not, he's one of their better defensive forwards. They don't trust Skinner or Sheary in the d-zone at all, it a problem.

I don't care if we lose this game. THIS is how a hockey team should look.

Its not pretty...but they are making plays...hustling. They are a young team....they are FINALLY figuring their poop out.

Getting caved in with corsi =/= good defensively

He got absolutely schooled on that goal

Maybe he'll match his 4 goal, -34 outcome from last year

Really? Outside of the first shift they have not looked good imo, Columbus is dictating the play all over the ice. Sloppy passing and questionable defensive play.

Can we leave Larsson in Ohio?

Asking for a friend.
