If you can sign Edler for two years at 4 mil each by all means do it. I think he will be asking 3 at 5-6 and for an injury prone defensive guy , no thanks.

I'm not going to speculate right now what Edler is asking for an extension.

I know it would take away from the CHL teams but I really like what the American's are doing with the u18 teams. They have 3 teams basically. The best of the best play for the USDP and plays against College teams. They have 2 other teams that play in the USHL.

Ron Hainsey is a Defensive Dman with more points than Edler and costs 3 mil. Unless Edler is going to put up 40 points he is not worth 5 mil per.

Edler is getting injured every year , and is being less productive. I like the guy but he will not help to turn this team into a scoring team. He is strictly Defensive now and players like that are cheap in the 3 mil range.
