IMO just my thoughts I don't view Baertchi as a top 6 player. Only reason he could be considered top 6 is the fact that he really has only played on non-playoff teams. His current #'s for any top 20 club parks him as a career third liner. Never played over 70 games per season and never broke 40 pts and probably never will. To me that is solid third line material. - LordHumungous
I think we underrate players beyond a certain point. Last season Washington had Eller, Wilson, Burakowsky all score in the bottom part of 2nd line range. Lower then Baertschi. They also only had 4 forwards score at a higher rate then Baertschi.
Last season only forwards 151 players broke 40 points. You can do the math. That's within a top 6 scoring rate. |

Just keep repeating Kaapo Kakko over and over it will ease the pain. |

Good 30 minutes, frustrating the pens it showed, couldn't bury some chances they did in the second half of the 2nd period game over. |

For a smaller player Baertschi doesn't score enough for a smaller player to be an effective playoff player imo. |

No idea what he is going to bring in the playoffs. He is listed 5 lbs lighter then T.J. Oshie. |

Four of their top five playoff scores were all first round picks, two of them late first round picks
Kuznetsov - 32 points in 24 games
Ovechkin - 27 points in 24 games
Backstrom - 23 points in 20 games
Oshie - 21 points in 24 games
Carlson - 20 points in 24 games
Health obviously played a big factor in their success. |

He's not physical enough imo, Oshie is on the other hand. Baertschi is soft like Benning's brain |

So what you are saying is Van needs a first overall pick and they will win a cup? |

If he's even a tier below generational I'd say they'll have a good opportunity #HenrikSedin |

They need a good coaching staff. Trotz is a great coach, so is Gallant which allows teams to succeed. Playing favourites like Pouliot and making Suter the poster boy of the ultimate player makes for a crappie team. |

They aren't the same type of player for being the same size.
If you shrink the size to 5'10"-5'11" 185 lbs and up for hits in the NHL right now. Tyler Motte has the most. Baertschi is 37th and Goldobin is 52nd out of 53. |

Jack Hughes is going to be real good, everyone behind him has size. A top 5 would do the team wonders. |

Well, I guess that if you were a 'Real Housewife of LA' that might be relevant. |

One is trying to find his way and struggling similar to Justin Shultz with the oilers, and the other he is forced to play because of his contract. |
