Not sure on that one. Watched him closely in the WHL here and a lot of it with JV was the same crap.
Just needs the right coach to bring it all out thought maybe that was Green...maybe not. - LordHumungous
He was a lot more direct though and would go for the net. I know what you mean but you can see the doubt and confusion in his game between the blue lines. And then he crosses the blue line and he is so worried about losing the puck above the hash marks he goes wide to get deep. They have totally headhumped him. |

You make a good point but why do we have to waste time on losers. Green was always a talented loser. No chin says it all. - TJTD
Sometimes thats the way it is. Team doesn't have the talent to win a cup with an experienced coach anyways. |

He has more time under TG then WD. Green wants the players to play direct hockey it seems. Allows for speed down the wing, shot, miss, chase the play back. |

Looks like the team is burning out in the third periods lately playing that style. Look good for two periods die in the third |

Green is over his head, can’t seem to adjust as the game progresses.
Defense is atrocious, is there not a waiver player better than what is here.
Why does the PP stay on the half wall and fire pucks, can there not be a little creativity once in a while.
Markstrom is really not very good to be a starter.
Canucks best energy line is Roussel, Sutter and Virtanen not sure what the other 3 lines contributed last night.
Fire Green, Brown and Baumgratner
Trade Markstrom and Nilsson

Not scoring and keeping the game close through 2 periods, i think hurts the come back and keep going mentality in the 3rd. |

I think they'll ride Green out but yeah there is a good possibility that Benning is gone before the draft. - LordHumungous
Can't agree less with that... aquaman just gave him the golden handshake and a promotion. The only strength JB has is amateur talent and drafting. No chance in my opinion he gets gassed before the next draft. |

They are all over the other teams early but not wearing them down. They seem to be wearing down themselves. I think if Motte and Granlund were a little bigger and stronger that style would be very effective. I think they run out of gas in the third and other teams take over.

I don't think current ownerships commitment to Benning is based off the new deal he just got. IMO if we show improvements and finish 21-25 Benning will be around a bit longer.
If we bring up the bottom 3 like most around here think I can't see Benning lasting until the draft. My take anyway. Personally I think JB has done a pretty good job with scouting and drafting but it won't be enough to save him IMO. |

This team has also played more games then most teams already and a large portion of that was road games / travel. Throw in the injuries and it's not hard to see why the gas tank is running on empty these days . Not to mention it's a team of poop players to begin with |

It was only a matter of time before the stigma of the new season wore off. Injuries will always be key here. For 30 min it looked like Van was going to pull it off or maybe be able to send the game to OT but with Markstrom/Pooliot/MDZ/ and a few others out there Crosby just took it upon himself to make them all look like Junior B players. |

I am not buying into the burning off the new season yet. I am not saying you aren't right but I am not there yet.
I think this team is better this year but I do think Benning isn't going for quick fixes either. I think if they wanted Hughes OJ Sautner playing this year they would have been. I do think they are giving them another year of development and collecting a high draft pick .
I really feel at TDL and in the summer moves will be made. I don't think Jake Sutter Edler Tanev will be here in two years. |

Jake I think stays... he's serviceable and aquaman doesn't want to part with his first ever draft pick. But Sutter tanev and Edler... (frank) yes , sell to the highest bidder ! |

Jake was not aquaman's first ever draft pick. I know what you are getting at but FA was very active with Gillis also.
I think Jake will be packaged and moved for a bigger fish . Just my opinion. |

I know you are being sarcastic but I struggle with the thought does it matter if you finish 23 or 31 st? I like all three players but that is 14 mil in salary and a good GM should be able to recover a few first round picks and maybe a few prospects plus they would have 14 mil to go shopping next year with the freed up salary.
I don't know if that is a bad thing? |

Exactly right.... if you lose by one or ten you still lose. We continue to finish bottom three with those players , how much farther can we fall without them? |

I agree with moving either one or the other on the back line, but I think it would be a mistake to move both at the same time.
Sutter is a hell of a lot better than people here give him credit, I like his game, I also like Beagle, Roussel and Schaller those 4 are the only reason games stay somewhat respectable, Beagle is sorely missed. |
