If he can tangibly elevate his game to even half of that, I'm confident the team would have some interest at the deadline- assuming willingness to withhold around 500k off next year's cap hit. Teams love having that combination of crazy, fast and still a capable hockey player on their team going into the playoffs. That is, unless the Oilers are in the fight for a playoff spot; then they may as well keep him.
