cooking used to be difficult until you make a few things and then realize that you can just do whatever to whatever and it generally turns out.

Google is your friend. It as easy these days as having an idea and looking it up and there you go start cooking.

"Which canucks C needs Little Things Loui most?"

And shows the Canucks C's ranked by goals share.

Sutter is drowning out there by every metric from shots to chances to goals. EP is a superstar by most of them, even more impressive relative to the team.

sideways shade in response to some stuff about how "EP didn't score last night because Eriksson wasn't there to make him good defensively" or some poop

it doesn't show well for anyone but EP, which is impressive because EP has played 4 of 6 games on the road and is still ahead on matchups.

surprising to see Horvat as far below 50% as he is as you'd expect he'd be at least breaking even.

Botch has been on the "EP is Hart Trophy sooner than later" train all season and when you see stuff like this its hard to do anything but marvel at what he's able to do on a team that plays in concrete shoes.

Benning doesn't have a mandate or a plan, he just throws poop against the wall to see what sticks. Therein lies the major difference.

In the same timeframe Hextall has added an two extra first round picks and two extra second round picks, compared to Benning, and they aren't rebuilding like the Canucks are.

- LeftCoaster

What the (frank) are they doing?
That organization/Hextall has wasted prime years of Giroux and Voracek, formerly 2 pretty good hockey players, that should have been built around.
Hextall tried and kept failing, with the players he was adding, now, they are a complete mess and about about as enjoying to watch, as the Canucks have been the past few seasons.

Also, I am pretty sure Benning had a mandate, just like Hextall, just the mandates are different according to state of teams rosters.

benning wanted to do what hextall has done. rebuild while being competitive nightly.

the canucks got most of their top draft picks by faceplanting into last place and then last year finally were like "okay maybe we actually are rebuilding and not retooling".

- Lindenis#1

I think he came to the realization, Benning, that what he was doing wasn't working. They need to do a complete rebuild via drafting because trying to augment the group he inherited by wasting valuable picks on guys like Gudbranson, Baertschi, Sutter or free agent signings like Eriksson, Gagner or MDZ hasn't helped them be competitive at all.

Agree to disagree, but, you're right that Hextall has failed miserably to add to the group he inherited. Some, if not all, of his UFA signings have been terrible.

He didn't really have anything to bargain with, thanks to Holmgren, for the first few years, however, he does now. But he still won't sacrifice the future for the present.

I've said this multiple times yesterday and today, when I compare the two, I'm simply comparing how the dealt with the draft and building from it.

We don't have an iron, we aren't that old. Steamer instead.

She's like you. Dislike sauces and condiments.
