Vancouver Canucks pending restricted free agent defensman Ben Hutton could get some interest. The Canucks may be looking to move out a defenseman. Hutton makes $2.5 million this season. |

Tanner Pearson. The Kings are floundering this season, holders of the worst record in the Western Conference, and Pearson has been part of the problem. The 26-year-old winger has just one point through ten games and has looked like a shell of himself. In Pearson’s defense, the Kings have also cut his ice time somewhat and relegated him to the fourth line for a while, but only as a result of his poor performance. Yet, Pearson has totaled 36 points or more in each of the past three year and is quietly a very strong two-way player. It would not be a shock to see Pearson right the ship with a change of scenery, but the Kings would have to ensure that they don’t sell too low on the well-rounded forward. Trade inquiries come with the territory of a basement record though and L.A., needing to shake things up, may soon be tempted to give Pearson away for the right price.
Someone who is more physical and larger then a lot of Van's forwards. Comes with 2 more years at 3.75. Only 26 years old.
I think if LA was willing to make more of a hockey trade.
Goldy and Leipsic for Pearson type of deal. - manvanfan
While Goldy hasn't really wowed without EP (though he has had strong outings), he has shown some chemistry with him prior to the concussion. May as well hold tight to see if something grows there, no point trading that away without knowing what it could be.
I wouldn't mind Pearson, but where would he slot in/how could we get him in LE's spot?

Pearson would just take Goldy's spot with EP. |

Ya, but that wouldn't be an instant match, or mean any chemistry is there. I didn't watch the game last night, but from what people have said BB and EP have no chemistry together – and you'd think having your best sniper and best setup man would be a great combo. |

Sometimes chemistry isn't instant. Pettersson isn't like Henrik, not a pure set up guy. |

Not to mention he missed the last five games... even with that rust on him people want to jump to the " he has no chemistry " with this player or that. Come on people he's 6 games into his career and is 19 yrs old. Breathe a little , pick up a hobby and circle back to the canucks with a bit of perspective. |

Relax... It's not game day.
Give it some time. Van's got 70 games left in the season to figure out whether they will work or not. |

I agree, I'm just saying don't dump Goldy when he's showing some level of chemistry with EP. See where that plays out, not like we're going anywhere otherwise.
And not saying he is, he's just the best this team has right now |

I'm thinking in terms of van has a bunch of soft forwards and Pearson could change that a bit. |

Five teams have shown interest in undrafted Tye Felhaber. He’s scored 15 goals and added nine assists in 15 games.
Hutton and him trained together in the summer. - manvanfan
When Giroux was mentoring Hutton and finally getting him to realize his potential?
If so, then sign this kid too. Giroux is better at developing players than the entire Canucks organization. |

He’s already developed Couturier, Voracek, Provorov, Ghost, Konecney, etc.
Unfortunately he can’t develop goalies and coaches
Still more of an alpha than anyone in the Canucks organization |

yay. target and overpay for another depth forward to add more "not softness"
maybe the team wouldn't look so soft if they were good. |
