his 3.75 contract for this year, and two more.
Gotta add more dollars to the bottom six whenever you can. Beagle, Roussel, Schaller, Sutter and Eriksson just aren't enough.
This team could be one more dumbass contract away from legit having some cap problems before you know it. - Lindenis#1
You must subscribe to the I think way too much of 2nd line players. Last season 2nd line players scored between 51(top) and 33(bottom)
So for a player that scores 40 points a season, would legit put him right in the middle of a 2nd line forward.
Cost per point last season tied with Filip Forsberg, Silverberg, Kuznetsov, Backstrom

My buddy's parents have season tix. He says they sell like 6-8(?) games a year and it basically covers the cost of of the rest of the tickets. Basically subsidizes their season tickets to like half price or a bit more.
Penguins, Caps, Leafs, Habs, Jets. I think those were the ones they mentioned.
I remember them complaining that they can't sell Red Wings or Rangers tickets for jack poop anymore when they used to get good buck for them. - Lindenis#1
I get Boston, TO and MTL fans. A lot of parents probably passed on their team to the kids. But the (frank)ing penguins?(frank) those sellout fake fans |

I agree, he would be a nice addition and huge upgrade to our top 6. |

Imo he benefits from playing with Toffoli more than the other way around, he’s not the driver on that line. Like Sven with Bo.
This roster already has too many 3rd wheel types |

Buddy and I were talking about today. I know a fair amount of American's that are interested in hockey. I've yet to ever meet an American that likes a Canadian hockey team though. On the other hand there are tons of Canadian's that like American hockey teams.
That the reason why Bettman keeps teams in Florida and Arizona even though Quebec would bring a much larger crowd and not be such a burden financially on the league? |

Quite a few Penguins fans up where I live.
Most became fans because of, arguably, the greatest forward of all-time, Mario Lemieux.
Doesn't hurt that they now have the 2 best players in the world. |

i just don't think he'd be worth the acquisition cost plus the contract for another tweener when the team is STILL resource poor when it comes to making trades happen.
i think people romanticize the grit they seem from players in 3 or 4 games a year against their favourite team. people used to think Gudbranson was super gritty and tough and good defensively until they watched 82 games of him |

I don't doubt he has benefitted from the other two 70's on the line (Toffoli, Carter).
Van has a lot of 3rd wheels but they aren't big, aren't physical. He can 3rd wheel with Bo and Boeser and still do better then Baertschi.
According to TG, he would love a player that goes to the net. |

there's a pretty easy argument to make that quebec would generate less revenue than winnipeg. equally as small market, hostile to english speakers and businesses, a lot of revenue will come from eating into the Habs market. Most "new" revenue it creates would ticket sales and merch, unlikely they'd really be a HUGE driver of corporate money.
if you want to make money on a tim hortons, do you put one where there isn't a timmies or do you go two blocks away from the one you built? |

Ya, but that wouldn't be an instant match, or mean any chemistry is there. I didn't watch the game last night, but from what people have said BB and EP have no chemistry together – and you'd think having your best sniper and best setup man would be a great combo. - NewYorkNuck
Brock Boeser isn't our best set up man. I don't think we really have a playmaker anymore. |

You can put him with Horvat or Pettersson. They are good players. He's a better 3rd wheel then the 3rd wheels they currently have playing with them. |

okay, so besides useless scraps what is worth paying up for a rebuilding team that is still somehow as resource poor as the Canucks are? |

He’s already developed Couturier, Voracek, Provorov, Ghost, Konecney, etc.
Unfortunately he can’t develop goalies and coaches
Still more of an alpha than anyone in the Canucks organization - Nucker101

"toronto makes a tonne of cash and the listless souls of winnipeg who have nothing better to do than shop ta dollarama like the Jets"
the CFL won't consider QC and when they had the World Championships there a few years ago nobody gave a (frank) in QC either.
its a smaller more racist market than winnipeg. good luck retaining any players who reach FA. |

An American sportswriter commented in '93 when the Habs beat the Kings in the finals...'enjoy it now Canada because you will not see another CDN cup champ while Bettman is running this show'. He took over in Feb of '93 and the rest is history. |
