I've liked that line...gus was with erod and pommer on the fourth line to start the season and it was the sabres most consistent line...when Housley made changes, that fourth line--with gus, lars, Berglund--remained consistent

I agree. That line threatened to - and did score - an actual even strength goal though. Berglund has had a few good looks. I think to be considered effective, they need to produce tangible results. Another 4 goal season from 22 isn't good enough

the fact that the sabres have a competent checking line that doesn't get smoked on a nightly basis is a step in the right direction...baby steps

For example : the nhl wants to get some hype for dahlin and get the Sabres off on a good note.

So we start with some of the weaker teams or other teams coming off back to backs.

Na, if you think they need offense on all 4 lines, stand up for it. I just think you're missing how bad the top lines are defensively. That has to be balanced out, one way or another. I think it's a long term problem that needs to be addressed.
