In this case it is not about offering a trade that Oilers fans think is good, it's about offering something that Chiarelli thinks is good. Those two points are likely not close together |

And yet the former is almost necessary to achieve the latter. Until you determine the X-value that is what Oilers fans deem fair value, you'll be hard-pressed to accurately determine what Chiarelli might accept ( X-2). |

Its not like our GM is Yzerman, Dorion is maybe a few IQ points above PC. |

And even THAT's a maybe If we're comparing stupid trades overall, Chiarelli takes the "win", but if we go on a per-year basis, Dorion has made an impressive run the last year and a bit to take that crown (obvious external factors notwithstanding).
If you're gonna try to make a trade just stupid enough where Chiarelli would still accept it, you have to at least try equally hard to make it an offer Dorion would be just stupid enough to still make. Equality |

Team doesn’t seem to love Puljujarvi right now. As I said, not likely Ottawa gets him, but I can easily imagine him getting moved in the next year |

no team in the NHL is dumb enouight to trade 1st and a/b level prospect for a player that could not even score playing with Mcavid, that has 29 pts in 100 games, Jesse is worth at most 1 3rd or late 2nd, not a roster player and good prospect.
Ceci for Jesse is fair, Ceci and either White or batherson or anyone else of OTT good prospect is a colossal over pay for a unproven player who is looking more and more like a massive bust by the day. |

Well now that we agree, what would you want from Ottawa if were are seriously interested in JP?? |

I got no problem with a click bait article, these Sens blogs have been dead recently!! |

He hasn't even gotten a real consistent chance in the top-six |

He has in fact produced at a good clip when on ice with McDavid; the issue has been that he hasn't played much with McDavid or Draisaitl.
He plays a rather creative and unorthodox style where he likes making creative plays from the wing but Todd wants/expects him to be a volume-shooting power forward (like Hall). He's had some difficulties adapting to a rigid coach's system and finding his fit, but I think some time in the AHL could fix that.
Anyone discounting his potential forgets he's 20 (turns 21 in May) and played 100 NHL games in his 18 and 19 yr old seasons. Is 21 yr old Henrik Bergstrom not a top prospect anymore because he was sent back to the AHL? That's foolish. Like Jesse, he just needs more time. |

I think I mentioned it earlier, but I don't think there's a deal that works. My aim is hitting up a team that wants to get younger, faster and cheaper to see if you could sell his potential for a guaranteed top-6 asset. Think Toffoli from LA, Kreider from NYR or Palat from TB (after the playoffs). That's not to say that's what his value is, but that's what I'd aim for.
As for something that the Sens could offer, one of Batherson or maybe Norris would be where I'd start. Not sure how much more I could ask for, though. |

Ummm I think its totally possible that Jesse gets traded for a terrible return. I mean the Oilers gm is just a cursed position. They have made absolutely terrible trades since the start of their franchise. Backs forced against the wall etc.... so many bad trades. And you know they have problems when their fans think a future 1st round pick is a spare part. |

Formenton is fine. He played a wonderful game.
You can't teach speed. He will improve on the finish. He is on pace to score 8-10 goals it is more than enough.
When they send kids down when they are this close the rest of the junior year is usually washed out by indifferent play. Kid is going to be a huge star.
No doubt in my mind, he has been best Senator on the ice tonight. |

I will say, last night was the best I've seen him. He was flying out there and creating chances. Not sure what they should do with him but it was good to see. |

you always could from my understanding, no set number of challenges. You are allowed to challenge scoring plays if there is goaltender inference or offside.
If you are wrong you lose your Time Out, if you lose again and dont have a time out, yoy are penalized for delay of game.
Thats why you dont see it multiple times a game |

Ceci and a A- prospect please.
I'd say a first but Dorion is an idiot. - Oilers4Life14
You know Ceci isn't good, right?
If you just want to give Pulujujarvi away we'll take him, he can join his Finnish brethren and would flourish playing alongside Goatkaniemi |
