Hard to say what he'd cost, but if you could buy before he takes that next step you might get a core guy for 70 cents on the dollar. - Sabresfan-365
Would be nice to have that one guy for Ottawa for free right now |

could be worse we could have signed Gruden to a 10 year contract like someone else... |

Those guys are generally playing their roles pretty well this year
I get that u think we’d have a better chance to score if the Mitts line was out there more instead of them...
and that’s probably true
But we’d also have a more likely shot at getting a goal scored against us
The big problem right now...
is that Lines2 & 3 aren’t playing well enough to take icetime away form the
“4th line”
Lines 2&3 need to be much more productive with their icetime,
then they’ll get more
The reason the Larsson line is getting more icetime is bc they’re generally playing pretty decent, if not good even - jdfitz77
That line has been so good while getting all of this ice time that we've lost 3 in a row |

they're going to laugh in his face 2 years from now when it comes to contract talks if he's even still on this team. - seedy
Again? |

If I’m Botterill, I’m looking to make a move for a middle 6 winger, and offering a D man or decent prospect.
The other lines are getting some shots, eventually a goal or so will go in. But a decent winger might make a huge difference - sbroads24
Don't you have to make a call to Roch first? With a tad over 1m in cap space, the options are very limited in the trade market.
That said, our RW's look terrible and most of the prospects are natural LW's.

The bridge deal as smart as Fvck.
JBotts gambled on his second half being a fluke and he won.

Raider are a #1 overall pick and Chicago's 2018 and 2019 1st ahead of the bills
Our Bill's 2019 pick and Dallas 2019 will be close to a push.
I'd rather have Gruden then McDermott calling my plays.
Hes tanking it, 10 year contract, but picture safe
Make a splash in Vegas

completely inaccurate, Sam played 50% more than either at ES - Lunaion
It's hard to tell though when Sam is, and is not on the ice... they're practically identical. |

I would try and swap Scandella+ or a Bailey +
No one special, but maybe a guy like Jesper Fast. Bad start but good 5 on 5 goal scorer
Teams still would go after Scandella despite how bad he’s been |

The Larsson line would be playing less if Lines 2 or 3 were playing better? |

I don’t think we see any moves. This was always going to be an intermediary year until we start to actually compete.
Before the season started everyone was happy to see entertaining hockey and improvement on the ice and in the standings.
We are much better than last year and I’m actually entertained watching the product on the ice this year.
The flashes of great play has everyone thinking we are supposed to be competing to win the division.
Let’s just take the entertaining highs with the lows of a young team |

Everyone is playing the same amount of even strength minutes.
And now there's a grinder on every line except for the top one
The grinders are everywhere. Reinhart is centered by a grinder, mitts had a grinder on his left. The larsson line -which is in reality the second/3rd line 5-on-5- is all grinders. There are too many damn grinders grinding everything - jcragcrumple
Grindr
Edit: Late. |

I think you can do both though.
I think some minor tweaks and we are a threat to win a round. |

If they're so good while not scoring, why don't we break them up and make other lines better and spread their goodness around? |

Why’s that?
As for Hudon...
I don’t see how we can take on another 3rd line guy unless we can dump Berglund or Sobatka, etc. to make room
And even if we could dump those guys...
Don’t we wanna replace them with our young talent we have coming up instead of another average-ish type player? |

If we can make those tweaks without hedging our futures I’m fine with it.
It would have to be roster players out for roster players in.
Other than that I’m willing to let gmjb take his time and build. We don’t need another Tim Murray speed up |

@travisyost
Gotta say, Johan Larsson looks a bit more effective this season. The goals aren't there but his line plays a lot in the OZ, which is a far cry from where it used to be .. |
