Why’s that?
As for Hudon...
I don’t see how we can take on another 3rd line guy unless we can dump Berglund or Sobatka, etc. to make room
And even if we could dump those guys...
Don’t we wanna replace them with our young talent we have coming up instead of another average-ish type player? - jdfitz77
Hudon had 30 points/70 games on a terrible habs team, he's 24. Im not saying he is for sure, but his body of work and his previous years make him a candidate for potential surprise breakout. |

I think you need help. I’m worried - sbroads24
I need a stiff drink and the willpower to drag myself away from this message board and these futile conversations
Professional help probably won't hurt, either |

So he gets a pass? - Wetbandit1
You mean the 1.8 mil player who still is out scoring Reinhart 5 on 5 and did last year?
I assume you are referencing Sam. |

Would be nice to have that one guy for Ottawa for free right now - sbroads24

Far from sure that we’d have even taken White
There were other players ranked ahead of him... some look good, some don’t
Not that i liked the trade
Gerbe & I we’re both saying we could’ve had Konecny in that spot |

I guess if we could get him cheap then ok
Otherwise, I’d pass knowing that we’ve got Nylander, Olofsson & Asplund all pretty much ready
And hopefully Thompson is gonna turn into something |

Yep, except we know Sam starts slow. And E-Rod had a very good year last year too, and is off to a bit of a slow start, but he gets no slack either. |

I think you can do both though.
I think some minor tweaks and we are a threat to win a round. - sbroads24
Against Tampa or Pitt?!
No way |

If they're so good while not scoring, why don't we break them up and make other lines better and spread their goodness around? - jcragcrumple
Why don’t u answer the question i posed instead of redirecting? |

Yeah, that would’ve been great
But there was also many players rated around there go haven’t worked out
Impossible to know who we’d have taken |

Him starting slow every year isn’t like, good or something. It’s a problem.
It’s not like he’s slumping and just not getting bounces. He’s doing nothing.
He looks like Cody Hodgson |

I think mitts looks much better than reinhart, but reinhart gets excuses and those same people are calling for mitts to get sent down |

Sam also has a 3 year track record of production,
whereas Mitts might just need some more development
Totally different situations |

I would try and swap Scandella+ or a Bailey +
No one special, but maybe a guy like Jesper Fast. Bad start but good 5 on 5 goal scorer
Teams still would go after Scandella despite how bad he’s been - sbroads24
If they can find a RW, I'd be all for it. The cap side is very limiting. Almost half the league has less than 2m of space. Even getting Fast gets awkward, since JB isn't going to want to retain on Scandella.

It absolutely is, but we have data that says that's what it is(slow starts being the norm). A hot start would be an anomaly. The data is the data. |

Wait wait wait, the 49ers scored 34 points? The 49ers?!
Edit: Wow, they have way more points than I thought, but still Nick Mullens, who? He makes CJ Beathard look like Joe Montana recognition-wise. |

The Afinegenov special. - ImThatGuy
No, that was fly up the ice twice as fast as the rest of your team, blow past the other team, skate behind and around the net and no-look a back-hand pass up the middle of the ice to the opposition just when your team is catching up enough to get caught behind the now attacking opposition. |

This guy hasn't scored in 9 games. Only 4 for the season.
Which is better then jeff Carter. He has 3 now. |
