lol I was just explaining to the kids here at work what Apocolypse Now and Platoon/Full Metal Jacket are as we were talking about Vietnam documentaries but none of them have seen the movies lol - LordHumungous
Apocolypse Now.....now there was a favourite of mine, great movie. Hopper was brilliant. |

Mel Gibson in the 80’s, the movie before The Road Warrior. Tina Turner Beyond Thunder Dome. Ringing any bells? - 1970vintage
Road Warrior an absolute classic. The new Mad Max-Fury road was so well done. It was up for Best Picture. |

The whole movie was killer until around the end where it got weird. But yes Hopper was great. |

Yeah I remember the song by Tina Turner, movies were just ok, if that. I'd rather go fishing. - LeftCoaster
True enough. Anyway, Humongous was the leader of the evil (from one perspective) scavengers. |

I think he did a lot of drugs to prepare for that role. |

For November I think everyone should have to have the avatar of the player or manager they hate so they have to learn to live with him - LeftCoaster
not sure they could fit the entire 2018/2019 team roster picture into an avatar for your pic though. |

Loved the new one. The guitar guy was a bit much but overall the artistic quality with the soundtrack/colors/effects were off the chart IMO. Should have won best pic I thought but that Priest/Spotlight movie took it.
I would recommend watching again maybe half-sober? lol
I thought it was easily the best of the Mad Max bunch George Miller really hit that one out of the Park.
But...not for everyone of course. |

I don't hate the players, it's not their fault they were brought here. The only guy who I think is a waste of space and never from the beginning understood why they brought him to Vancouver is Eriksson. |

Didn't Coppola say he would never work with Brando again? Somethign about him being a supreme jack-ass and never on time/there to film which pushed production back months? |

That film was seriously messed up. I’m pretty sure they actually butchered a cow. I read that the opening scene where Marty ruins his hotel room he was high AF. I love it, own it on DVD, it’s a New Years Day tradition, but wow, crazy poop. |

There were fewer boundaries back then. Now you can’t do poop without someone crying about cultural appropriation, or digital black face |

Did you see:
https://www.netflix.com/ca/title/80997770
Also top shelf. - LordHumungous
Is that a new series or just new to Netflix?
I've seen almost everything done on the Vietnam War and read as much as I could including a number of books about life after the war for those over there. |
