Wait ... so the Hawks had to play a man down for almost 2 minutes after the major was over because they didn't have a man in the box who could come out of the box when the penalty was over? WHAT? Earth to Q ... nice job.

Question for the board - If the Refs are there to enforce the rules, why didn't they notify the bench that there was no onei in the box when DK was removed from the box? Could it be that they do not know the rules themselves?

Think HAWKS had choice to but someone in a the start ,or at some point and did not .Totally on HAWKS coaching ..

The game was excessive - the major wasnt.

If they cal high sticking under the theory that you have to control your stick - and 4 minutes for blood - then I’m ok with the major on a hit like that under the theory that you have to control your body and your checks.

i have seen plenty of worse hits with no call at all

the fact the kid stayed down and was bleeding made the call easy for the great tim peel...but the hit itself was not a throw out worthy or suspendable...but he will be be suspended now..3 games at least.

Yeah Bob Cole he is brutal I have thought so for years now but apparently a lot of people love him. He is packing it in soon . He hasn't announce when but some time this year.

I am watching Sportsnet in Canada too. Talk about incompetence and we complain about our guys!
First no mention about Keith being tossed. Figured this out myself when I saw Keith leaving and then checking online.
Then no mention that the Hawks played an extra 2 min shorthanded because of no man in the box. Found that out during the intermission from the guys on the panel who also thought that Keith got the short end of the stick.
