Manning doing what exactly at the blueline? JOKI has to come across on a 2v1 and ends up screening crow on his rotation to cover for manning |

After 90 seconds of losing a keep away game in their own zone.
Most fatiguing minutes in hockey. No shock they scored shortly thereafter. |

I thought Gus screened him .... no? My bad.
Schmaltz with the back check and clear after being dead tired on the shift, then the goal. |

Not sure Crow gets that anyways. That was filthy. Tip your cap to Tkachuk. |

Kampf and Kunitz useless. I like the 4th line Fortin making some room with his speed and Kruger and Martinsen winning battles. Q needs to leave that line together. Kahun needs so semi decent offensive players with him on the third line. I’m really starting to not like Kampf he brings nothing to the table. I don’t think he’s that good defensively. Kunitz is done. |

The following is from the nhl rule book:
20.3 Substitution – When a player has been assessed a major penalty and has been removed from the game or is injured, the offending team does not have to place a substitute player on the penalty bench immediately, but must do so at a stoppage of play prior to the expiration of the major penalty. He may then legally exit the penalty bench when the major penalty has expired. If the player has been assessed minor penalties in addition to the major penalty that must also be served on the penalty time clock, the offending team must place a substitute on the penalty bench immediately.
Failure to place a player on the penalty bench prior to the expiration of the major penalty will result in that team having to continue playing one player short (but not officially considered short- handed) until the next stoppage of play. Any replacement player who enters the game other than from the penalty bench shall constitute an illegal substitution under Rule 68 – Illegal Substitution calling for a bench minor penalty.
Furthermore, if the team fails to place a player on the penalty bench to return to the ice at the end of the major penalty, they continued to play short-handed but are not permitted to ice the puck as they are no longer short-handed by reason of a penalty.[url]
my interpretation of the referee’s action is that it is not their responsibility to tell the coach to put a player in the box. Strategically, with Keith gone, if the hawks had put someone in the box immediately, they would have been down 2 players for 5 minutes. Think Q gambled that he would get a stoppage somewhere around the 4:30 mark of the penalty and could put someone in then. Didn’t see the game, so either they didn’t get the stoppage — lost the gamble — or simply forget — knucklehead coaching? Either way, refs don’t comment during the game about the coach’s decisions. |

Typical Q move, get a 2 goal lead, and play to lose .. |

Agree, 4th line is looking good. Finally, bottom 6 getting some points. |

Schmaltz is a borderline NHL player. He has some talent but not the brain or heart to play in this league.

More proof of Q lack of attention to detail ,he been mailing it in for more then 2 year now . I take Bob Cole behind the bench at this point ..
Seabrook said it all in interview between Periods . I quote "I don't know what Joel said " they tuned this guy out long ago .. |

Schmaltz is a borderline NHL player. He has some talent but not the brain or heart to play in this league. - John McDonough
He's been toking it with Konroyd before the game |
|
|
|
Manning makes a sprawling reach at the blue line because he's out of position - he misses and Tkachuk drives in making Joki come over and he played it as best as he could but Tkachuk makes a great shot. The play started because of the miscue by Manning. |

He’d probably play better if he did. |

The play started when Kampf didn’t get the puck in deep at the other end. Everyone else on the ice had a long shift pinned in their end. Puck must be dumped in.

Martinesen, Manning, etc....people who would not even be on 20 other NHL teams. Good work Stan. |
