If the d man was Gus, then I totally understand. I like him less and less with each game. I tried liking him because of his 2 great pass shots, but that ceiling passed him by.

Stanley gave Q 2+7 offsuit but the lack of fundamentals, structure and effort makes me think the coaching staff needs to change too

15 games and have held the other guys under 3 goals only 4x...how the hell are they even 6-6-3

Terrible team with terrible coaching. Team is running on fumes in the 3rd and Q doesn't call a time out. Q doesn't put a guy in the penalty box on Keith's 5 min major and they have to kill the penalty for over 7 minutes. I have had season tickets since 1979 but I will not be getting tickets next year if he is still their coach and Blowman is still their gm. This is the worst team in hockey in my opinion. Sorry for the rant but I am fed up with Q and Blowman.

Inevitable with genies move to play defense 1st with a two goal lead ,typical of the HAWKS in the Q era .As is pulling his best player ( Crow) early, when down to put out a pathetic man advantage .Even tonight why pull Crow with a PP late ,ya know the defending team will shoot from anywhere to score .Even Bob Cole new that .. .Leave Crow in and play the PP ,even if it is hapless .6 on 4 was no help . Maybe if they practiced it once and awhile ,Q ain't got time for that .. GO Q and I mean go away ..

Outshot 20-4 in the 3rd period. That stat could represent the relative difference in effort level in the 3rd period between the Flames and Hawks. The Hawks had the victory within their grasp coming into the 3rd period and the Flames just took it away because they could, and the Hawks couldn't stop them. Where they had the advantage in play in the first two periods, the Hawks were on their heels the whole 3rd period.

The Hawks just plain and simple are not a good team. Defensive miscues all over the ice and not enough talent to overcome them. I thought the forwards backchecked very well tonight but the d-men make mistakes which lead to goals. Manning made a bad play which led to Tkachuk's goal. Rutta made a bad play by hesitating before realizing Fortin was going to get the winger so the passing lane was open for Backlund to get a one-timer off the pass. Those were goals 2 and 3 and they were the difference in the game - both caused because d-men Manning and Rutta didn't make the correct play.

Kane, Toews, AdB for the first 8 games.

They were getting 3 goals per game from that group.

When that dried up, the depth scoring just hadn’t been there. Tonite was only the 4th time in 15 games that players other than 88/19/12 scored more than one.

Problem is - do you have any confidence that that will change?
