How can you tell with monotone dim Jim

That’s the point. Even the slightest hint of human emotion in him registers like an earthquake on a richter scale.

What happened in 2017 draft then? Or did the trend just start in 2018?

Trends need to start somewhere .

I seen that this year with Hughes. I have a feeling we got another very special player.

Geez, who would have thought rookies generate excitement. Win or lose fans care about them and want to watch them grow into winners. Rookies make mistakes but they can be overlooked because fans can see the excitement and emotion they bring to the game.

It just took Aquaman and his goofy management team four years to figure it out.

- bloatedmosquito

In those 4 years, they drafted the players generating this excitement. I think the fans failed to see what you are claiming the management team couldnt figure out for 4 years.

It doesnt happen in one draft. Patience. We are not Lefties Leafs.

You will literally saying anything to try and collaborate what you are saying. There is a reason why the GM's decide whether an 18 year old kid should be playing in the NHL that season and not the 18 year old kid.

That held Nylander and Marner back until they got Matthews.

I agree, can't wait to see the PP with Hughes walking the line, horvat in front, peterson and boeser on the circles and J. Hughes in the slot.

He was puting up 4 and 5 point nights in sweden too. Absolutely zero doubt he would have made the canucks out of his draft year if he wanted to.

At 10 pounds lighter, probably best he waited. He's probably stronger on his feet this season.

I think the lesson learned is to never bet with Prez to avoid all of this.
- bloatedmosquito

The lesson is ignore the idiot.

I love Don's comments to him one post. He said the fact that there is a woman on this
planet willing to have sex with you is unbelievable.

I think Boeser was a lucky pick for them. I don’t think they knew what they had when they picked Brock.

They knew exactly what they had when picking Petey. You could see and hear the excitement in JB when they interviewed him after the selection.

Yet he still falls down every 2nd shift.

I wanted them to hold him back a year. I was wrong because he's clearly ready.

But he'll be so good next year that it would have been nice to see a canuck dominate the Calder talk.
Plus an extra year of his ELC would offset the crap signings of this past off season.

He was a cluster(frank) last night...
- boonerbuck

Yup.
Defense 7 goaltending were not strong last night. Grubeur or whatever his name is, was awful.

Say anything to collaborate like "Alright, I apologize that an 18 year old kid wasn't gifted an NHL spot and felt hurt, so he chose to go back to college."

Elias is scoring at a clip that would have him at 136 points over a full season.
Gaunce is scoring at a 123 points pace.

I don't expect much out of you but think about what you're saying.

Benning said that if he's ready and is one of the top 7, then he'd play in the nhl.

Hughes decides not to sign.

If he felt that he had to be gifted a spot rather then earn it, then that means that he wasn't confident that he would be one of the top 7.

Think before pressing the summit button. For one moment. Please, youre bringing the collective IQ down.

He made the best decision for sure. 10 lbs of muscle is surely helping his success. Its why i also think hughes made the best decision to go back as well. No harm in getting bigger/stronger/faster in your draft +1 season imo. Not many kids can play out of their drafts

I apologized for JB not gifting him a spot in the NHL instead of him trying to earn it in camp. He could have tried to earn a spot on the team and go to Utica if he didn't. Instead he chose to not try and go back to college.

Not sure on that one...I think Jimmy knew exactly what he had.

Another win for JB
