If Matthews comes back in 2 weeks he will have played 55% of the Leafs games up to that point...extended out... on pace to play 45 games.

It's PPG, so you don't include games not played.
But what he was demonstrating was games Mathews is on pace to play.
If Mathews misses the next 6 games.
