I don't think they terminated the contract, probably more of a null & void clause which I believe is universal for all contracts relating to criminal convictions.

The leafs need an elite shutdown, young, very VERY cost controlled Pesce much more than the Canes need an overpaid, overrated Nylander.

He's a righty and he's pretty good. But he is also an admitted wife beater and hasn't playing in the nhl is like 3-4 years and he's 28.

Based on age and his history with abuse I cannot see how he's worth anything near nylander
