I took a peek at the upcoming road trip. I'd say the same 4 games that they should be able to win. I'd be fine with a 3-3 road trip in the end though.

Win at home. Lose on the road. Get that lottery pick!

I know that I learned a lot. Smart, educated fans use stats to make other fans feel stupid, inferior and therefore making their opinions pointless. Really, if you don't use stats you should not post here.

#Canucks prospect Artyom Manukyan with 4 primary assists today for Avangard

He now has 11 PTS (2-9-11) in 26 KHL games

Cherry on the #Canucks : "Looks like they are getting into the playoffs and you need guys like Horvat in the playoffs."

I was actually one of the few on here that said WD would get rehired.

Yeah, I didn't quite understand the pick either. Other then they drafted Palmu the year before who is the same size pretty much and he looked like he would show promise.

In Montreal, the news isn’t great for Kotkaniemi. Playing not very many ES minutes, and is starting on PP2 for the time being. He’s not even close to 50/50 on draws so he might see more time on the wing. His single-season relevance is fading.

Opposite trend for Heiskanen in Dallas – he has locked down 2nd line usage at ES but on PP2 he only gets more than a minute per night when there are a lot of calls. Don’t bank on PPP despite his impressive TOI numbers. He’s a real life stud d-man but not a fantasy stud.

I have heard that they have started holiday drinks at starbucks Donny. You will need to start throwing all those xmas drinks at the management box instead of those lattes now. I heard that the sprinkles can cause people to go blind if you get them in eye

make sure you put one of those little stir sticks/spill stoppers in the lids when you throw it. Makes for a much better impact + has a chance to take out an eye. Win Win!

I’m sorry, but I can’t see this roster keeping this up. That’s a tank roster if I ever saw one

God bless em if they do

I will take the blame for this. I should never have made that comment to Vantel.

No offence, but these easy to understand concepts are not about age. If a goalies save percentage is, all other things being equal, higher when I am on the ice than when Minivan on the ice it means I am a better defensive player than he is. If the team shooting percentage is higher when he is on the ice than when I am it means he is a better offensive player than I am. In one game (or a few) you could chalk that up to luck, but when the sample becomes statistically relevant, you can be confident that the results tell an accurate story.

First statement I agree with, age doesn't matter when understanding stats.

Next statement is a bit out there, where are you or the stats collectors looking at quality of the shot attempts, quality of opposition, quality of goaltender (Markstrom and 1st shots). Player makes a outstanding pass, heads to the bench to change but doesn't quite make it, the lousy pass receiver is stripped of the puck and goal is scored, but now he is labelled a worse D doesn't wash with me and several others, but the stats say otherwise.

And I could come up with further examples and is why stats are subjective to me, and should be used with on ice play, team video reviewing.
