Hunwick and Sheary both have another year on their deals.

If JB knew he'd get Skinner, Olofsson would light up the AHL, Girgs would be one of our best players, and Elie would be available on waivers, I don't think he'd have made that trade.

They can bury Hunwick and save the ~$1M next year(Is it $950K still? I thought it topped out around there a few years before CBA renewal), or unfortunately nothing unless the Sabres are a cap team next year and he can go to LTIR if he's done and the Sabres need the space.

Sure, best forward not on our top line so far. Obviously that needs to change, but he deserves the credit.

Well Botts didn’t know he could get Skinner when he pulled the Sheary trade

It’s not like we gave anything up for Sheary

And Sheary did look decent on Jack’s wing
I get that u can’t break up that line right now,
but Skinner wasn’t really producing much away from Jack either

We’ve really gotta find some kind of line combos for our middle6 that can yield some scoring

Of course he would still make the trade. We still need more forwards to put the puck in the net, not fewer
