I think that's a fair schedule.

Two for Tuesday ( bogo).

Maybe I head to ziggy's this afternoon?

The team is better bc of Goaltending, Skinner & Dahlin
Not bc of the so called “depth” we replaced ROR with

- jdfitz77

imo I think this is incredibly off base, our depth has been a big reason for the turnaround this year.
Not to discount Dahlin, Hutton and Skinner, but having a team with bottom six guys like Berglund, pod racer erod and grigs is much improved over Nolan, griffin or pulliot.

I'd give him another five games to demonstrate that his last few games are where he's really heading, and forget about the two StLouis stiffs.

Berglund and Sobodka can be turned in to additional assets at the deadline.
- ImThatGuy

Berglund and Sobotka are overpriced but it's nice having actual NHL players in the bottom 6

This!
...
for now...until they outlive their productive usefulness based on Cap situation, that 4 year contract that is remaining is going to be an issue in 2 years...not huge, but we will all wish it was over

Expansion or lock out compliance buy out should help.

We couldn't have bought out ror or left him unprotected

- homiedclown

Casey needs to shoot more, and stop dangling around and stick handling.

I love his game, but he's a point producing forward, - not producing points consistently.

Cant wait until kane Thursday- 11 straight games without a goal. Who would have seen that type of streaky play coming?

Capfriendly says a buyout at the end of next year is approximately

2m
2m
1m
1m

That's per year over 4 years

A 2021 buyout is

2m
1m

Per year over 2 years

I think the overall hypocrisy by you sometimes is amazing.

You spent all year making sure you tempered expectations on Mittelstadt, but want a guy who’s never played pro hockey to take Berglund’s spot, who’s a bonafide top 9 NHL’er. But also Thompson and his 50 career games is a bust.

You are so sure O’Reilly won’t decline anytime soon, but are already convinced Berglund has declined because of 4 bad games to start.

Rasmus Asplund has 1 assist in 12 Rochester games, but sure throw him in an NHL top 9

- sbroads24

Imagine penciling in Nylander and Asplund going into the offseason.....At the time he was lecturing everyone that Bailey and Baptiste were locks because JB gave them QO's, and he wouldn't have done that if he was going to waive them.

A bad team can't lock up as many players as he wants to long term. He'll never get that.

Thanks for the info, appreciate it.
I like the 2 year hit in 2021 my own self.

Mitts Wednesday

Started slow in development camp/ preseason
Maybe it's a bit of confidence sneaking in.

I'm not worried, Casey shows heart and effort.
He'll break thru

*silent Saturday is other issue for another day

Only your amount of hate could think we are better off with the return we got for him

We’d be EVEN BETTER with O’Reilly right now
How can u not see that?

And don’t talk about going forward
You can’t “guarantee” any of your assumptions

- jdfitz77

And your assumption that we would be EVEN BETTER with ROR is no guarantee either. Sure he's having a great start, but his team is last in their division and 2nd to last in the conference. I am a huge ROR fan, but for whatever reason it just wasn't working here. I think the trade was fair, and it had to be made to really get the team to start moving forward to the future.

ROR was awesome his first season here as well...hell, I wanted to knock one of my front teeth out I liked him so much...for sure thought he was going to be the captain.
But then, he hurt his back...something wasn't right in the locker room, it became apparent...too much smoke for there not to be a fire...who cares about the nicities they say now.

Good luck to him, that is all I got concerning him.

While 10 & 17 were cap dumps, they can be useful in the bottom six to steady the ship there for next 2 years. After that, buyout and bye bye.j
If Tage can be a decent 3rd line winger, nothing bad about that...and let's see where that 1st ends up...could be a nice piece.

I doubt it
But if so, then disregard what i said
Neither have played all that well
Both are essentially 3rd liners at best
Sobatka makes like 3.5m for another year & Berglund makes 3.8m for 3 more years

Maybe if these guys were rentals,
then a team would take them for added “depth”
Tough to see a team wanting either of those contracts going forward though
