Eriksson is an offense black hole but just ignore his contract.

As nice as Pettersson has been to watch, I still haven’t changed my prediction of bottom 5.

Come January I’ll revisit that prediction.

Decent game last night, team sure needs some scoring wingers beyond Boeser though, when he's out it's really noticeable.

Personally I don't think they can keep this up but we'll see how it plays out. I'm hoping for another good draft position because they still have a lot of holes in that lineup but Pettersson is definitely making it fun to watch games again!!

I'm sticking with bottom 10. clearly an improved club this year when Beagle and Sutter are healthy and better 5/5 as predicted. I'm still saying we finish 21-25 somewhere in there.

Really all I hope is that Pettersson wins the Calder. All else doesn't really matter at this point with realistic expectations.

Nice.

He sure likes to throw the weight around.
Not that big really either (6'0, 200 lbs) according to EliteProspects.
I don't suspect he'll be doing that in the bigs as often (JV), but it'd be nice to add some grit to the D corps.

He is the perfect size to throw hits. Kid will be 6’0 220 if he makes the show. That lower center of gravity will demolish dudes

we don't have any wingers that can finish other than Boeser.

I just noticed the standings and see that the great Ron Hextall has his team, tied for the 8th playoff spot, with about 4 other teams.
The idiot Jim Benning, has his team, 2nd in the conference...what a (frank)en idiot Benning is.😁

Problem with Baertchi is that he only ever shows up for 1/3 of the season. When those games are that he plays well we have no idea. Even when he's healthy we have no clue how long it will stay that way. Kinda becoming like Tanev lol

I was defending LE a little, I wanna say it is hard to be upset with him for not scoring when Goldy can't hit the net. but damn that contract, I don't want to biatch about it for the next 4 years.

We need more offense from just about all the wingers. some you don't expect to score much.

Biggest surprise for me is Motte is still trucking along in on the fore check, working hard.

Thought Leipsic was the better player but if Motte continues to do what he is doing, he might have a longer career.

I dunno, because he does all the little things right?

I have no issue with him being on a line with EP. beyond Boeser, who has been putting up the points playing with EP?

Goldy has looked good at times but hasn't been able to get the points since the start of the season.

I didn't like LE on the 4th line or even with Sutter.

If we had another offensive winger that could play and put up some points with EP, I'd be okay with moving LE off his line, but nobody has stepped up or gotten the opportunity.

Woo has dealt a pretty substantial hit in all of the games that I have seen him play for either Team Canada or this WHL/Russian series. Agree it wasn't the most strenuous hit, but more so posted for how he did it. Its two games in a row that he has not allowed the opposition to get into his goaltenders crease, and he does it in a physically dominating way, which is something not a ton of our D currently do.

And this is sorely missing from the Canucks, except for Gudbranson..
