Except for first period defensive breakdowns - which Crawford was unable to bail them out - the Hawks have dramatically outplayed the Canes. They do need to make Darling less comfortable out there. - StLBravesFan
10 games from now this is something I'm hoping Colliton can change. More effort to get pucks and people to the net especially from the bottom 6.
A more aggressive forecheck. Would like the bottom 6 to resemble the Canes. Aggressive forecheck and just throw pucks at the net. In theory that makes it uncomfortable for the opposing goalie, better chance for greasy goals and the puck stays out of their zone a bit more. ........ North-south with speed.
Simplify breakouts. Simply chip the think out to an area, coach and practice that, and a forward on it to engage the Dman in the neutral zone as he tries to play a bouncing puck with another forward coming for support.
Not everything can be a controlled out, just get it out and attack the loose puck with speed and support.

Well, this game has gone from terrible to interesting. Team with the next goal wins the game. |

Who slipped Crow wild hyacinth? He's been playing out of his mind. More so this period. |

I've seen Saad 3 times now, opponent has puck and at the last minute he guesses which way the guy is going to pass the puck and doesn't check the guy, if he checks the opponent all 3 times he would of given a chance at possession |

Playing with heart.
A little sloppy, but playing with more energy and determination.

But not just SATs for the sake of SATs - as you say, skaters to the net.
One of the problems with this team is too many shots that the goalie has no trouble seeing and no trouble stopping. |

Martinsen laying down hits that will make you s*** your pants.
That Aho kid is really something this game. He's an Aho(le) I like watching him play though. |

Meh, that was my feeling during the first 5 games of the season, and we know how that went. |

Crawford is going to waive his NMC after this game. Gotta feel sorry for the guy, been getting shelled all night. |

Create traffic, create havoc, draw a penalty, bump the goalie, work the end boards all with speed 175-200 ft from your goalie. No, Kaner and Schmaltz ain't gonna do this but the bottom 6 can and should.
Simplify the game for the bottom 6, simplify the outs, hair on fire forecheck, improve the PP and PK, be tougher to play against and let the top 6 continue their Fancy Dan approach.

You will see a gradual lineup adjustment that sees Kruger and Kunits and even Kamph out and younger legs and energy coming in.
Same on blue line. Hopefully Forsling and Murphy are getting close.

Yes, but it's totally on Colliton that he couldn't get the PP going after one practice.
#FAIL
Not surprised the team came out in the first with a case of the yips. Hopefully they can tie it up here. |

Kid IMO is the best player many don't know about. A really really dangerous skilled player and a 2 way player........ Fun to watch, the Canes are fun to watch.

But Seabrook seems to have forgotten how to pass - several very weak inaccurate pucks coming off his stick. |

Terrible start. Solid rally. Good push for the equalizer,
but the boys come up ONE GOAL short.
Colliton seems like a fine young man and he'll have a long leash obviously,
but way too many odd man rushes against.
DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE. must be overhauled in all 3 zones. |
