At a business meeting in Indy with a few of my Swedish peers. This is the first time I've met any of them.
I informed them I root for the team that drafted all Swedes this year.
We had a great conversation about Dahlin and the Swedish hockey leagues.
It was pretty cool. - gcomella34
Tell those stinky Vikings we need about 4 more. |

He's on pace for 40 pts even though he's slumping. If he's stuck on the 3rd line, that's actually really good production.
I notice he got a few assists, now it's all about goals. Do the uprights ever stop moving? - RhinoFan
I'm pretty sure hockey is about goals and assists.
I have not moved the uprights:
Sam needs to score goals and play better.
All this "on pace for 40 points" b.s. is the sam defenders agenda.
He hasn't had a hit in 13 games
Doesn't kill penalties
Phil keeps rewarding sam with pp time to get him out the slump.
He led the sabres in goals last season with 25. Now he has 1 goal. Seriously, you have to expect more?
The one play/ position that Sam is good at:
One time pass from left of the goalie/ behind the net.
On the pp, he moves the puck quickly and accurately in front of the net. But, somehow everyone wants him to be a net front presence? He tipped in a few last year in front.
Trying to stay positive. |

Yeah, real step back this year. Honestly, he was playing better hockey last year. Not only did he not progress over the summer, he seems much more timid.
I wonder if he's injured, he's really dodging any incoming shoulders with a passion these days. - RhinoFan
Sam? I agree |

Im feeling like sometime in the next month we are going to see Dahlin take a big jump in production... He already is solid defensively... you can see the offensive ability but he been hesitant to let loose, I think that will change sometime this month.. I don't expect to see huge number from him this year but I think we are going to really see some signs of things to come...
What say you????? |

Need to see Mittelstadt take that offensive leap
Hopefully sooner than later
I know everyone wants to see Dahlin play more
But I’m ok with Phil bringing him along slowly
Patience is key here
It’s like ppl here don’t understand the word “development” |

The issue is he isn’t producing that on the 3rd line.
He has produced some assists on the PP. |

Nathan Beaulieu will draw into the lineup on Thursday.
Beaulieu has spent the Sabres' last three games in the press box. He's been working hard in the meantime though and is getting rewarded for that now. "I tried to ramp up my practices a little bit more and hit the gym a little more," Beaulieu said. "I feel really, really good right now. I'm just excited. It's never easy, sitting out and watching." Look for him to be paired with Rasmus Dahlin
That should help him develop. |

He's on the 3rd line and top PP.
Unlike yourself, I don't care when they come. However, his minutes are definitely down, that will effect his production. It seems he can still put points up in this role. |
