I’ve said numerous times that I think he’ll carve out a respectable NHL career. But he’s maybe at best the 5th best forward in his draft class. If you’d like to pull up a list of the last 15 2nd overall picks how many would you take Reinahrt over ? Maybe Ryan Murray and the jury is still out on Nolan Patrick. But I would say Sam is not even in the same ball park as Barkov, Eichel, Laine, Svechnikov. And what about guys like Pasternak, Aho, W.Nylander, Draisatil, Marner and they weren’t 2nd overall picks. Those are just the guys I can think of in 20 seconds I’d take over Reinhart. Reinhart can have a long respectful career reminiscent of a Pominville. But how many people would tank for a 55-60 point winger ?

I really would like to see Risto stick with Dahlin for a while. Dahlin will help get them out of their own zone and that would really play into Risto's strengths.

I also think it’s time to take he training wheels off of Dahlin. Risto’s play is concerning but I think he’d benefit from better usage and less TOI. I’ve liked Bogo. Scandella is easily the worst d-man on the team the first month of the season and I hope he gets it together.

there were a few where he had no chance, like the Skinner goal, first Sobotka goal. but yeah, 2-3 of those goals, those don't get by Carey Price 2 years ago. no one here knows what has happened to him.

this team needs a tad better then average goaltending, and they are getting that right now


hutton is cheap, ullmark is fine for a back up and we got the kid developing


and an x factor in the echl

Not sure if any of y'all would know the answer but.....
How has the new equipment rules effected Ullmark? Seems like the one that squeaked though his arm may be a result of it. Think that goalie has happened to a lot around the league.

I dont like what ive seen out of him but thought that may be a reason.
