1. Stan's an idiot

Push comes to shove, it will be Rocky is the only guy to ever do anything about McD.
"Interesting times" have befallen on the 'Hawks. |

I thought Martinsen was noticeable too and yes poor Seabrook I don't know if he just doesn't have it anymore or doesn't care. My favorite player still, but a shell of his former self.
The management is either delusional or lying when they peddle this playoff team madness. At a certain point you have to admit reality and try to force the course of history. Either that or be doomed to repeating the same things over and over.
I still say it's lack of overall talent. This is bound to happen when you trade prospects to make Cup runs, guys retire, guys age, you have to give away talent in responding to the Cap, and you make bad front office moves. The talent is not there and I think we should remember Q's response when Hammer was traded. Q was livid, stormed out and wasn't seen for a day or so, because Q knew talent was leaving.
At the end of the day good teams win, bad teams don't. Yes, coaching matters, but at these levels it's almost always about the talent.

Seabs has lots of effective hockey left to play. Bobby Orr or Nicklas Lidstrom would have struggles playing with Gus. Gus is a partner destroyer.

Rutta was awful last year too. We know this because StanBo gave him a big contract.

Anthony Duclair with his 7th.....5 on the PP. Stan didn't want him why????
Too young, too fast, too cheap ???
He didn't show much last year but it shows yet another POOR decision by Bowman.....or was it Quenneville ??
Who the heck knows anymore. Bottom line......looks like another mistake by our leaders. - Hawkytalk
Duclair and Hartman should never have been let go especially for virtually nothing combined. Terrible asset management when young cheap talent is let go and replaced with more expensive older players. Talk about a self inflicted team decline! |

Duclair was so deep in Q’s doghouse you couldn’t see him. Maybe showed a lack of hustle finishing a line change and that was it. StanBo traded for him but it became obvious, as it had with players like Daley and Kempny, that the situation just wasn’t going to work with Q. I thought they could have at least given Duclair another shot with a low contract.
One problem I had with Q is when he doghoused players, it seemed to be lost on him that he was killing their trade value. Sharp was a trade piece that had to be moved because of his contract and the Cap. Daley was the key piece that StanBo got back — he had scored 18 goals as a D-Man the year before. When Q was done with Daley we basically traded him away for nothing. |

Duclair was let go, yes. Hartman, we got Ejdsell and a draft pick that became Beaudin in return. Ejdsell is slow, but has a wicked shot and Beaudin's going to be a great d man.
Seeing as they aren't on the hawks now, it may seem like nothing, but Ejdsell could be a call up soon for JC to handle, and Beaudin will be up in a year or two. |

Yeah pretty much. He started out okay then the wheels fell off and he's been HOT GARBAGE ever since. |

Kempny Blows. Winning cures all, but if the Caps hadn’t won the cup, I think Caps fans would be zeroing in on several Kempny miscues that cost them quite a few goals against. |

so here we go
Matinee game: they usually are still asleep for these start times
in phylly: where they never win; usually lucky to score
flyers are 4-0-1 in last 5 and scored 3 or more in all 5
playing poorly having lost 6 strt
all adds up to another "entertaining" afternoon
hawks will find away to lose 4-2 flyers |

He'd fit in quite nicely on this team, 1-1 tie with the Pens and who else pinches at a terrible time. He's so overrated because he doesn't play here anymore |

Is Forsling in Chicago yet? Its very hard for me to believe he's worse than half the defenseman in Chicago right now. |

Unfortunately, he re-injured his wrist at a recent practice. |

Will the curse of Philly get broken today?
Capt. Serious on the ice with a nasty left eye.
No Saad, no Krugs, and no Davidson. Hayden and Johnson draw in. |

Forsling missed the last few games in Rockford until he finally got back into the lineup last night - so he's probably not ready to be brought up yet.
